    1. I picked it up at a giveaway shelf. I read it since I needed a change from the dead white guys and girls stuff. It's pretty good. I had read Beka Lamb in college and it's one of my faves. Am happy to report Edgell's still a good writer. It seems kinda like life of a Caribbean Woman as she matures. It's a nice mix of personal and political. And once it picks up it's quite good and fascinating. It's not too depressing or sad, either.
