    2. Invisible City was a great book with lots of action and adventure. Josh, the main character, is just a normal teen without a father, however the story of his father's disapearence is what catches the atention of many. His father was a victim of a plane crash, or was it. Josh is posative his father was murdered by a secret government agentcy, because of his father's death his mother is put into shock and cannot reallly take care of Josh. This sparks Josh to go on an epic journy with his friends t [...]

    3. My son purchased this book at a school book fair intrigued by the mystery of the title, "Invisible City" . Although this book is written for grades 5 thorough 8th and he loves adventure stories and science fictions he was having a hard time getting into the story, so I picked up the book to try to see why he was having difficulty with the book.At first I thought that the difficulties may have to do with the reading level of the text but as I read I discovered the real difficulties were with them [...]

    6. I'm hiding the review because of spoilers, but the only real spoiler is the time that was wasted to read the book. Why I keep torturing myself to finish pitiful books that aren’t worth my time, I have yet to figure out. This was no exception. Joshua’s dad is reported dead and his mom begins to unravel as a result. Joshua is skeptical about the reports of his death and starts to investigate. It doesn’t take him long to get caught up in some huge Mayan mystery and he sets off to Mexico with t [...]

    7. The invisible city by M.G. Harris was a fantastic novel it was fast paced action packed and well thought out the plot of the story didn't go too quickly for the reader not to understand and not too slow for them to get bored. The story starts off in Oxford England where the main character Joshua, and his parents live. One day Joshua comes home to find the terrible news that his father died on a archeological dig in Mexico. They say it was a plane crash that killed him but Joshua thinks otherwise [...]

Mengendus adanya konspirasi, dia memutuskan menyelidiki.Ternyata kematian dr. Gracia membawanya pada s [...]

Josh ragu dan curiga, dia mempunyai firasat kalau kematian ayahnya bukanlah sebuah kecelakaan, tapi pembunuhan bahkan dia yakin kalau ayahnya masih hidup. Begitu mengetahui kabar tersebut, Josh langsung menyelidiki jejak terakhir ayahnya, apakah ada pesan sebelum ia meninggal.Josh mulai menyelidiki dari email ayahnya da [...]

Penye [...]

    12. When I found this book, the first thing my eyes went to was 'Will the world survive 2012?'. It was like all my dreams had come true in the form of a 300+ page young adult novelmething i've been hoping to find for some time. Of course, my biggest cup of tea would be a post 2012 story about survival, but this, well, this is a start.warning, this may contain spoilers!!!Here's the basics. The story is about thirteen year old Josh Garcia. His lives a pretty normal life being the son of a teacher and [...]

    13. Meksiko!

    15. Joshua is a 13 year old boy when his father is reportedly dead after a freak accident. His father is a teacher and an archaeologist. His life is turn upside down when his father is dead. While his mother is mourning and can't seem to hold anything together, Joshua somehow know that there's a reason behind his father's accident. He try to investigate his father's death and record all of it in his blog which he named, Joshua Files. He then set out to an adventure with his friends, Tyler and Ollie [...]

    16. There has been much speculation on the whole 2012 apocalyptic theories. Some think that a disease will wipe out humanity, others think that a meteor will hit earth, and others have a few other crazy ideas. Yet, in this book you find that the apocalypse theory is a very creative one with an antagonist who actually has a reason for being against the protagonist. Although this book is much influenced by the same old government conspiracy idea, it stands apart from it as well. For one instance, the [...]

    17. Josh's father is missing in Mexico, presumed dead, probably murdered. Obsessed with conspiracy theories, Josh suspects a cover-up and starts a secret blog ('The Joshua Files') to voice his fears. Revelations from Mexico throw Josh's mother into turmoil leaving him to pick up the pieces. He travels to Mexico with two teenage friends, Tyler and Ollie. They uncover the truth about a mysterious young woman seen recently with his father – Josh’s long-lost half-sister and learn the secret of Josh' [...]

    18. Action-packed with a lot of historical/mythological detail. At times however, it felt like information overload but I guess there had to be a lot of detail for it all to tie in (sort of). Some good plot-lines/mystery.

    19. have just come back from the US a few days ago, so right now I am REALLY behind on my blogging. Now, for the JOSHUA FILES!The book Joshua Files- Invisible City was one of my desired summer reads. It was actually the only book on the list that I took on holiday (OOOOOOOOPS) but it was amazing! As you should know from the post below that it is about on boy on mission. This boy is Joshua Garcia and he has a blog. Not like my blog of course. This blog is different. The purpose of his blog is to find [...]

    20. Well, this book was actually really entertaining and interesting. I been pretty interested in Mayan mythology and history lately, and I think this book was the reason why!!! It definetely trys to scare you about 2012 and all that shiz, but I dont really get scared by these type of theories, even if they are true!! It definitely was a huge play on imagination, and I'm impressed that the author of this book cold even pull off such a random plot formation, as it all kinda ties in with her dramatic [...]

    21. This is just the kind of story that I enjoy the most- one of travel and adventure. It turns out that it's the first book in a series called The Joshua Files and that there are 3 or 4 more books. It started out to be an incredible adventure story and then turned into a fantasy sort of story. Parts of it were unbelievable for either an adventure or a fantasy story but that is a minor pickiness on my part because overall the story was so good. The mother/grandmother in me thought "Huh? A mother wou [...]

    23. I enjoyed this book, the 1st in a five book series. Has an interesting take on the mysteries and myths of the Mayan culture. I look forward to reading the entire series.

    24. In M.G. Harris's first installment of the Joshua Files series, 'Invisible City' sets off a good precedent. A thirteen year-old boy names Joshua, or Josh as his friends call him, investigates the disappearance of his father. The police report said that Josh's dad had been killed when his plane crashed, but Josh thinks otherwise.Josh delves into the mystery of his father’s disappearance and experiences several pulse-pounding and heart-stopping adventures as he comes to terms with the truth and r [...]

    25. M. G. Harris’ Invisible City in her The Joshua Files series tells of Joshua, a teen-ager, whose archeologist father was searching for an ancient Mayan codex that contained information about 2012 and the end of the world. Learning that his father died under mysterious circumstances, Joshua sets out to discover the truth about his father’s possible murder. Traveling to Mexico Joshua discovers information about dreams he has been having, as well as information about his grandfather, father, and [...]

    26. This book is in an odd position. It's marketed as juvenile fiction, and I think younger readers are meant to identify with Joshua, who's only 13. That said, as other reviews have pointed out, he has to deal with the death and mutilation of his father (there's no 11th hour "No, he's only in hiding" here), evidence that his father might have been engaging in adultery, and his mother shutting down in complete depression. Oh, and certain shadowy organizations, officially disavowed by the U.S. govern [...]

    27. "Joshua's life was pretty average until his archaeologist father was reported dead in a plane crash. Josh's dad had been searching for the Mayan Codex, said to contain key information about the 2012 Mayan prophecy foretelling the end of the world. Was the crash simply a tragic accident, or is there more to his father's death than the authorities are willing to tell him? After he refuses to believe that his father is dead, he starts blogging about aliens and UFOs. His mother ends up in hospital ha [...]
