    1. The Good Stuff * Very sensual * Beautifully written * Heartbreakingly sad at times * writer has a gift for writing very sensual and seductive sex scenes -- and steamy * Thomas is a delightful cad at time, mad artist at others and just a truly fascinating character * The opening chapter is wonderful and gets you hooked right away * Loved the spunk of the muse Sarah. She is very much like Thomas self involved but not evil or unkind * Did I mention that there were some seriously steamy scenes, thin [...]

    2. ***May Contain Spoilers (though I try to avoid spoilers, beware)***Thomas Rodin is a man of many talents and many pleasures. He finds it hard to refuse himself, after all he is the master of his domain, the master artisan. He's passionate to a fault with his muses, trying to be what they all want as they try to conform to his life. He is a true artist, able to see the beauty in the world around him, as well as the not so pretty world that in reality, he must live in. The Royal Academy has seen h [...]

    3. This book is uniquely separated into three parts. Done so for you to understand the man behind the brush. Just the cover alone you will stare at for minutes on end before you read it. The strange thing was, I found myself going back to the cover after I would read something arresting about this enigma. I would look into his eyes to see the story that I read unfold around me. I would look at his clothing and match it to a tee to the words used in the book I would look at his lips his fingers and [...]

    4. After first readingTortured, I was then taken in by The Master and the Muse. I was immediately interested in The Master and the Muse because it was a historical novel about an artist back when painting was still profitable career (for some). It goes through three different women he uses for models and his relationship with them. WhileTortured was more about the plot line than the erotica, there was no want for erotic scenes in this book. McIntyre threw me for a loop with how detailed they were, [...]

    5. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect when reading THE MASTER AND THE MUSES. I've never read anything by McIntyre before, but the premise of the story intrigued me. Since this was for free on NetGalley, I couldn't resist the temptation to check it out.And I am SO happy I did!THE MASTER AND THE MUSES is told in three different POVs. They're all in first person, and each story focuses on one particular muse that Thomas becomes involved with.Book 1 - HelenAs the summary suggests, Helen is the innoc [...]

    6. Spicy book! Be warned if you don't like erotic, you won't like this book. If you do, well run right out and buy a copy! From the first chapter you are hooked and you can't stop reading until you put the book down. There is mystery, happiness, profound sadness for some of the characters at times, in the end well lets say the author wraps up the book nicely and doesn't leave any strings hanging which I hate.I love the three women who are his muses, each so very different in character. Any book that [...]

    7. I'd heard good things about Amanda McIntyre's work, but hadn't read any of her books, so when this came up at NetGalley, I jumped on it. Oh, I'm so glad I did!The Master and The Muses is the story of Thomas Rodin, a 19th century painter, who is part of a band of artists who are fighting for recognition of their avant guarde works by The Royal Academy. This story is told in three parts.Book 1: HelenHelen is a young woman working in a hat shop, when she is approached by a handsome young man, Willi [...]

    8. The life and creative times of 19th-century painter Thomas Rodin makes for an interesting read amid people's perceptions of love. The story revolves around Thomas and the three women in his life, his muses. The three sections of the book are devoted to each one and how Thomas affects their images of themselves, what they want out of life, and the meaning of love and what they're willing to sacrifice to find love.First up is Helen, a very pious redhead who is discovered by Thomas' brother William [...]

    9. An Unlikeable Rogue Ruins the StoryAmanda McIntyre's new historical romance entitled The Master and The Muses for me was pretty disappointing. Not remembering what the first name was of the famous sculptor Auguste Rodin when I bought the book, I thought this book was going to be about him. My error. The story is based on another London painter, Thomas Rodin. The author breaks up the novel into three sections, one each for a different woman that Rodin brings into his life as an artist muse, to mo [...]

    10. The Master and the Muses By Amanda McIntyreThis is a story of a painter named Thomas Rodin who was a rogue painter who belonged to the Royal Academy of Artists. This book TELLS IN THREES STORIES HIS muses, Helen, Sarah and Grace. THE STORY IS HOW THOMAS MET EACH MUSE and what EACH MUSE HAS TAUGHT HIM. HE TREASURES EACH MUSE AND LOVES EACH ONE DIFFERENTLY BUT AS THOMAS GROWS WITH EACH MUSE HE IS ALSO LEARNING WHAT TRUE LOVE IS. It was a different format of reading for me BECAUSE I AM USED TO JUST [...]

    11. I admit to being disappointed with THE MASTER AND THE MUSES. Told in 3 sections by each woman; Helen, Sara, and Grace. I really didn't see anything to like or admire about Thomas Rodin. I was hoping for a bit more about him as an artist, how the women inspired him, what came of the inspiration etcWhat I got was how boorish he was. I missed the charm that attracted these women to him. The only section I really liked was Sara's. I felt she was honest and the least pretentious. Edward was good also [...]

    12. Thomas is a mostly unlikeable character, though it felt right for the story. He is supposed to be this senseless, passionate, moody rogue, and he certainly is. The book is divide into 3 stories, each about a different muse of Thomas's. While we learn about each muse, I felt like I didn't know quite enough about them. However, the story as a whole, is an exploration in Thomas Rodin's character development. It wasn't the greatest thing I have ever read, but it sure as hell was entertaining, and qui [...]

    13. After all the great reviews I read about this book, I was highly disappointed. The three separates stories are connected by Thomas Rodin and, in a small way, Grace. Each of the Muses develop along the way as their relationship with Thomas pushes them to mature, and they all have their HEA. Thomas is an egotistical, selfish ass, who doesn't seem to change much during the story. So when a "changed" Thomas is abruptly shoved into the picture near the end, it left me shaking me head. Just not feelin [...]

    14. The writing was better than I expected, however I found that the three women in the book all seemed the same. I didn't see any great distinctions, they all sort of blended together for me. Also, though the story is told from the perspective of the women, I would have liked to read more about the central character, Thomas, with whom they all had relationships. I got the sense, at the end, that he was supposed to do some emotional maturing, but if that happens it is opaque to the reader until the [...]

    16. This is the good case in point to show how a Rake (one of seductive character stated in "The Art of Seduction" by Robert Greene), Thomas Rodin (a master) to seduce those young girls, who were called his muses.

    17. What I loved about this book was delving into 3 different sides of one story. While I wanted more historical detail, I have to say the writing and the premise kept me from whining too much. I really enjoyed it.

    18. I loved this one! three short stories about these individual girls. They were all brought in to thomas's studio to be his muse. One thing leads to another and now the muses are lovers.
