    1. Very interesting bio of this elusive scientist/madman of the Third Reich. Reading this you come to see much more of the evil and madness that was done. Very recommended

    2. Dr. Josef Mengele was known as the "Angel of Death." At first glimpse the holocaust victims said Dr. Mengele had a nice smile, personality, and he was well dressed. Behind that smile was an unbearable evil that is hard for me to talk about. He was rude to Jewish people, but he was very nice to gypsy's and twins, so nice that he earned the nickname "Uncle Pepi." Menegele Served twenty months as a "doctor" in the Auschwitz concentration camp. His main experiments were twins. There were two categor [...]

    3. Dr. Josef Mengele was a different man than all the other Nazis around him and the some he worked with. He was known to the prisoners as The Angel of Death. During the Holocaust Dr. Mengele wanted to be widely known like his parents who owned a place to make farm machinary. I liked this book because it told what really happened in the Holocaust. Germans believed that they were better and more important than other contries around them. Nazis killed people with problems that might carry on problems [...]

    4. Mengele studied medicine and became a doctor but he was more interested in the study of genetics and Darwin's theories of natural selection. He got hurt and couldn't continue active military service, this led to his appointment at Auschwitz. Hitlers medical institutions encouraged his "experiments" at that camp. The book describes the man's evil personality, his experiments, and the suffering of his patients, especially twins.

    5. It's fascinating how government propaganda and prejudice can influence people's opinions of others. Mengele was called a decent fellow by some buy the next minute could turn into an experimental psycho. It's a shame he was able to live a long live on the run after the war and was never brought to justice.

    6. This is a very well-written introduction to who Dr. Josef Mengele was and what he did. It also very plainly discusses everything from the trip in cattle cars to Auschwitz to the horrors of what happened there where older children and young adults can understand.
