    1. I almost didn’t read this book. The ads were intriguing, but the description on was frustratingly vague. So I looked at the preview, and found an introduction that told me what genre this was, and the author’s own thoughts on the main character and the themes of the book. This was followed by an opening epigram that took up six paragraphs. And then another epigram. Just when my patience was coming to an end, I got to the part of the book where the actual story began. Add to that the promise of a whole new mythos inside (this one’s entitled The Scaeth), I’m practically salivating like a cannibal in the wake of a nuclear aftermath.
