    1. 3 Stars! When I heard there was going to be another installment into the Irish and Whiskey series I was pretty thrilled. Until I saw that it wasn't going to be about Jamie and Aiden. Still, I wanted to read it because I liked Daniel in the previous books. Melissa is a character that I found to be just, OK. I still feel that way after reading this. This spin-off shorty is the story of how Daniel and Melissa came to fall in love with each other. Although we got snippets of how they became to be in [...]

    2. ***3.5 Stars*** for my first Christmas story this year and I didn't even knew beforehand that it would be one. Granted, it's more of the kidnap-action than the fluffy kind, but still ;-)I already knew this book and I were off to a good start when I came to the dedication:For Cory, because Die Hard is a fucking Christmas movie!*High five*, Ms. Reyne, I'm so on board with that. Now I knew what to expect and one thing is for sure: Bruce Willis would be proud of the Talley clan and the action packed [...]

    3. 4 1/2 Stars!!Tequila Sunrise is a novella from the Irish and Whiskey series, and you really cannot read it as a standalone, or you will be totally lost. If you are like me, you were a little disappointed to learn that Tequila Sunrise would not solely be based on Irish and Whiskey, but the story would revolve around Mel and Danny. Well, no worries there. The entire gang is back, including Nic and CamOn Christmas Eve, the Talley family and friends are gathering to celebrate the holidays, the commi [...]

    4. ***4 Stars***"Because I already have a woman."She bit down on his tendon and his hips flew off the seat. "Try that again.""Because a woman already has me.""That's right, Daniel. You're mine."I was so excited for Mel and Danny's storyd it did not disappoint. They were an intriguing tease going on in the background of the first three books in this series. Aiden's sister in law and brother were a dynamic duo that had great chemistry even as secondary characters, so I couldn't wait to see what they [...]

    5. On Christmas Eve, on the night when John Talley, the patriarch of Talley family (also Aidan and Danny's father), formally retires from Talley Enterprise, their ship where the event is held is hijacked. Danny and Mel -- alongside familiar faces Aidan, Jamie, Nic, and Cam -- have to figure out how to disarm the hijackers while keeping everyone safe. While I am not completely satisfied with Irish and Whiskey series in overall (I'm still holding a grudge against Aidan) but I like both Danny and Mel i [...]

    6. I've given this a B- at AAR, so that's 3.5 stars rounded up.Tequila Sunrise is the final book in Layla Reyne’s fabulous Agents Irish and Whiskey series, and takes place a few months after the events of Barrel Proof. It’s also a neat bridge between this series and her next romantic suspense project which is going to feature Nic Price and Cam Byrne, who both appeared as important secondary characters in the earlier novels, and who both have key roles to play in this story. Tequila Sunrise is a [...]

    7. I am a huge fan of the Agents Irish and Whiskey series and made a not so quiet fact that I would love a story with Mel and Danny. Well, I got what I wanted and then it went above and beyond. This was amazing. As one who adored Melissa and Daniel as a couple, I loved seeing how it all began. I love how the story was told, through both POV’s of Danny and Mel as well as in the past and the present. We get the sweet and bittersweet from both their pasts with Danny and Sean, Aidan and Danny, Mel and [...]

    8. *happy sigh*If you liked the AIW series, you won't be disappointed by this. Loved Mel and Danny. Also there was lots of Jamie for my #teamjamie heart, plenty of Aidan, and some nice glimpses of Cam and Nic.

    9. Don't be fooled that just because this is a novella that this isn't going to be a high stakes story. Because things HAPPEN. And you'll be on the edge of your seat reading this. I did like that there's flashbacks throughout this story (I think I'm a huge fan of flashbacks at the moment) and you can see the moments where Mel and Danny slowly start falling in love. The present day storyline is that it is Christmas Eve and the Talleys are unveiling their latest ship, the Ellen, as the last ship by Da [...]

    10. Waaaay too short! But very nice. Really like these characters A LOT.I would have loved more of it but that the theme of the season. Short novellas to go back to characters we love so I'll take it.

    11. Loved it!!! So much action and passion (as always with Layla's books) and I couldn't put it down. Christmas came early to me with an ARC of the book.

    12. I really loved the Agents Irish and Whiskey series, so of course I was excited to read Tequila Sunrise. It really was wonderful to catch up with all of the characters again, especially Jamie and Aidan (even though they didn't have much 'together' time in this novella.)I loved getting a first hand look at how Mel and Danny's relationship turned out. They made such a lovely pair, and they worked so well together. It was great seeing what a long term relationship would be like between them. The fla [...]

    13. This book is a fucking tease. It gives you the same rush as the other books in the series but it also teases you because its so SHORT!Having said that, I absolutely loved this book. I highly advise you to read the previous 3 books in the series because yes, this is about a different couple but you will miss a lot about them if you haven't read the first three books in the series.I have to admit (view spoiler)[ I knew/guessed about their marriage from the beginning.(hide spoiler)] It was a lot of [...]

    14. I read the Agents Irish and Whiskey series so I was excited to read this. I loved Danny in the previous books and I was rooting for him the entire time. Now, Mel, I wasn’t a huge fan of previously. It took a bit but she kind of grew on me. This is a short novella with love, drama, suspense and a bit of angst rolled into one nice little package. This is based on the series as I said and you have to have read the series to understand this book. Mel is Aiden's best friend and Danny is Aiden's bro [...]

    15. A Joyfully Jay review. 4.5 starsTequila Sunrise is the fourth book in Layla Reyne’s fabulous Agents Irish and Whiskey series. The first three books focused on FBI partners Aidan and Jamie and formed a trilogy with an overarching plot across the books. In Tequila Sunrise, we switch our focus to Mel and Danny, prominent side characters in the series. Mel is Aidan’s best friend, former sister-in-law, and their FBI boss, while Danny is Aidan’s brother. We have gotten teased over the books with [...]

    16. i adored Mel from the moment she appeared in the AIW series and i totally shipped her and Danny right away. So the relationship unfolding in the background of Jamie and Aidan's story had me hooked. So of couuurse i was thrilled they were getting this novella. Mel is a badass and i love how Danny loves that about her. I want mooore of these twooo. i know i know im being greedy maybe, but i still want more! They were so good together. As with Layla's books we have some action going on here! whew! [...]

    17. I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads. They’re back! I was so sad when this series ended so I was thrilled to get my hands on this Christmas catch-up. And I love that it isn’t just a catch-up, it’s an action packed thriller in its own right. With the Talley family and hundreds of party guests held hostage on a boat, it’s up to Mel, Danny and Jamie to save them all. The action is at the centre of this story. We already know all the characters so little time i [...]

    18. ~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~This is the fourth in the series - and it diverts from focusing on Aidan and Jamie and gives Melissa and Danny the chance to tell their story. We get quick trips back in time to remind us how they met, and the convoluted way in which difficult truths came out and affected them. Not usually a fan of moving backwards and forwards in time, this worked well as it gave us a different perspective on events we knew from previou [...]

    19. I really enjoyed this! I loved these characters throughout the first three books of the Irish and Whiskey series and could not wait to get into their heads more. Mel and Danny are such strong people with fierce love for their families, jobs, and lives. They both fit so well together that there was no doubt that they would sizzle on page when they got their chance. The suspense and action of the story is a lot of fun. This is what they do they, especially Mel, solve problems. In this case, there [...]

    20. I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.I was trilled to be back in the Agents Irish and Whiskey universe. This is a fast paced novella centres around Melissa and Danny's relationship and a high jacking of the new Talley ship. I love that the author gives us an m/f romance in a universe where the original romance was m/m. As a reader I want that variety. So the story takes us from the present to the past to give us snippets of what has happened to the characters at [...]

    21. This was a fantastic addition to the Irish and Whiskey series. The story is set during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I normally do not like a lot of jumping back in forth from the past to present but it so worked out in this book. We get to see how they got to where they are today (not giving away any spoilers here). I didn't figure out their little secret. We do get a dose of Irish & Whiskey and I just love those boys! The presents at the end were perfect. Oh and along the way we get the [...]

    22. 3.5 StarsTequila Sunrise is a great M/F spinoff to the Whiskey & Irish series especially if you did not get enough of kickass sidekicks Mel Cruz and Daniel Talley. Aptly marketed as a reverse Die Hard, there is no shortage of danger and thrills in this little novella, which takes place on Christmas Eve during a major milestone for the Talley family and corporation. I thought the writing was masterful as always, but the pacing suffered from far too many flashbacks, insightful as they were. St [...]

    23. 4.5 Stars!!!Tequila Sunrise is Mel and Danny's story, is part of the Irish and Whiskey universe and as such, it can't be read as a standalone since there are a lot of recurring characters. This was a fantastic addition to the series! I adored Danny in the first three books and while Mel wasn't my favorite because of how she handled things, well, there's no denying that Danny and Mel are explosive together and their chemistry is off the charts. I loved catching up with Aidan and Jamie and now I'm [...]

    24. I confess I read this for Aidan and Jamie but ended up loving Mel and Danny’s story!! Another exciting instalment also, it was nice to get the flashbacks and learn the backstory of the characters. Very nicely done!

    25. I received a copy to read and review for Wicked Reads. I generally don't read much M/F books anymore, but because I read the previous three books in the series and I really liked Mel I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did. I usually don't like books that go from past to present but it worked for me in this book. I also liked the dual POV, you get to see and feel so much more when books have that. There was action and passion and just all around goodness to the book, I just wished it was long [...]

    26. LOVED this almost as much as the books about Jamie and Aidan!! Soo good!! Danny and Mel are both amazing 😍 Cant wait for more books by this author!

    27. This is a spin off short story from the Agents Irish and Whiskey series and does not work as a standalone. This takes place a few months down the road and is about Danny and Mel. I was super excited to get a story about them as a couple because it's an age gap with the women being the older one and it's an inter-racial couple. Neither of which we see much in m/f CR.They gang gets stranded on a boat with some bad guys who plan to blow it up for nefarious reasons. Reasons that didn't actually make [...]

    28. *4.5 stars* I don't think I've made it a secret that I love Layla Reyne's Agents Irish and Whiskey series. The three books of the series are among my top reads of the year I mean an Irish FBI agent and his partner who is an ex basketball star and computer wiz?? What's not to love, yeah? In this addition, Tequila Sunrise focuses on Mel and Danny and it's every bit as fun, steamy, and action packed as the previous three books! Mel and Danny played significant roles in the prior books and I was so [...]
