    1. I just got this book yesterday so I am just a few pages in and I got to say, it is AMAZING! The book itself is BEAUTIFUL. Like the old school books with the fabric type of cover. It is perfect for coffee tables. The pages inside are BEAUTIFUL as well - beautiful pictures on most pages and there are quotes and then there are stories. If you like Super Soul Sunday, you will definitely love this book. If you love quotes, you will love this book. If you are spiritual, you will love this book. If you [...]

    2. Oprah Winfrey's latest book is a book to be read and re-read often. The book is sectioned into 10 chapter groups - Awakening, Intention, Mindfulness, Spiritual GPS, Ego, Forgiveness, Broken Open, Grace and Gratitude, Love and Connection. The order is quite telling; notice that "Ego" is right in the middle, followed by forgiveness. If we envision these topics as a bell curve, it's an uphill battle to learn to deal with the Ego, after learning it, things get gradually easier. At the end of her book [...]

    3. Want wisdom? Go to the wise. That's what Oprah does. She's a master at asking questions and listening deeply. When you talk to the wise, that's all you have to dok questions and sit back and listen. I couldn't wait to get into the car each day for my ten-minute drive to work so I could listen to these amazing conversations. I want more Super Soul conversations.

    4. I will admit that I skimmed the majority of this book, mainly cause of how repetitive it became. However I did like the interviews with famous actors on inspiring beliefs about life, love, spirituality and things of this nature. I REALLY loved the last chapter when Oprah asked celebrities to define what is the difference between Religion and Spirituality. While I enjoyed what everyone had to say Iyanla VanZant definition affirmed why I love her so much. "Religion is the rules, regulation ceremon [...]

    5. A beautiful book that explores topics including mindfulness, forgiveness, and fulfillment. Really enjoyed the wide variety of insights from all different types of authors, doctors, religious leaders, and world leaders. Fascinating stuff!

    6. The body can be ‘rented out’ but not the soul. We are part of the Great Soul and we are all close to one another. We came from one place and if we look closely, we are not so very different, and in the end we shall all return whence we came. So the greatest wisdom of this book is to convey to all of us that we're not so very different The main problem is just to see the bigger picture: we all form a huge circle, everyone is so familiar, and silent, and listening and above us is a great, migh [...]

    7. From the first time I saw this book, I wanted to read it. Yet I never physically read the book because my wife encouraged me to listen to it on Audible (something I don't usually do, but am glad I did). This is a fabulous collection of interviews with some of the most important spiritual thinkers of our day. Oprah has compiled them in this book to line up somewhat with her own journey of discovery. What I appreciated was that each section gave us several new insights into thinking about spiritua [...]

    8. Certain chapters are phenomenal and I will likely listen to those again and again. Others are a bit overly religious, including some discussion of a near-death experience. As an atheist, I can work with the idea of a spiritual "god" in the place of a traditional Judeo-Christian "God", but my brain struggled to find a work-around for the near-death experience discussion. Overall, a good listen, but a couple of chapters were skipped.

    9. Loving Oprah like I do, I asked my hubby to get this for me this Christmas. Such a treasure! I purposely held back finishing this too quickly. I never wanted it to end! Pearls of wisdom from her many sit down interviews with authors and spiritual leaders. I plan on keeping this on my nightstand, reading a passage each morning when I rise. A great plan to set my day on a good path.

    10. Snippets from Oprah's conversations with spiritual leaders, CEO's, nuns, athletes, writers, designers, psychologists, etc. I loved reading others' opinions on life, spirituality, gratitude, brokenness, connection. Many people I would never have heard from if it weren't for this book and everyone had a small piece of truth I could resonate with. My husband made fun of me because I said Oprah had too much to say. "Um? Isn't this Oprah's book?"

    11. The book itself is beautiful and the content is good--but I would recommend listening or watching the actual interviews as the wisdom is much more powerful when it's spoken and when it's in context of a conversation. This book is merely excerpts from many of those interviews.

    12. An amazing introduction to spirituality, definitely recommend that you listen to the audiobook over the book as each chapter is an interview with a spirituality author. My favourite chapters were 1, 2 and the forgiveness chapter.

    13. A more fulsome review is pending but although I liked the feel of this book, the thick quality pages, the beautiful, calm pictures behind the text, it did not resonate. While there were some helpful words of wisdom, i expected more spirituality and less religious content.

    14. A excellent book. We read it in stages in the mornings to set ourselves up for the day. It was a wonderful way to start the day.

    15. What a lovely way to start off a New Year and a new reading challenge.Just a beautiful collection of thoughts and ideas about connecting to the higher self.

    16. I loved this audio book even more than the SuperSoul Conversations podcast I also listen to. Some of the interviews I had already heard before but Oprah’s own thoughts included in this book shed another, or maybe more light to them. The mix of the different topics really spoke to me and made these interviews into a moving spiritual whole that I see myself coming back to over and over again. Thank you Oprah for the work that you do and the spiritual thinkers, leaders and teachers you have intro [...]

    17. Fantastic audiobook--basically conversations with amazing people like Bryan Stevenson and Echart Tolle and Michael Singer. The only annoying thing is that I wish Oprah would have let them talk more and interrupted less. I love Oprah, but I just wanted to hear more from the guests.

    18. This is the type of book you read a little of daily or before you go to sleep. Very thought provoking . ❤️ to Oprah for getting me back to reading for pleasure as an adult with her book club.

    19. Updated 2-15-18 see below for changed thinking. At first I wrote: Sorry Oprah - I love so much that you do - this one was not for me tho. I enjoyed the ideas however this definitely feels like she tried to make every faith orientation happy. I am a Bible believing Christian and definitions of spiritual and grace and soul and more were far from Biblical and too broad/generic of a "spiritual" perspective for me. To be fair Oprah & the speakers rarely claimed any connection with Biblical ideas. [...]

    20. What do you get when you round up some of our current “new thinkers”; the people that dare to defy the rut we find ourselves living in? That is the question Miss Winfrey dared to ask on her Super Soul Sunday series and the result is almost fully rounded. Through her (plentiful) questions, the enlightened folk she engages answer our questions and help us see that this life is more than jus face value. Sure, at times it is all about Oprah but more often than not, it’s about living a better l [...]

    21. This was my first read of 2018 and I'm so glad it was! Focusing on snippets from Oprah's Super Soul Sundays, this book focuses on 10 main themes, from Awakening to Love and Connection. Each chapter has a specific theme, but the underlying theme of the book is our greater connection to something outside of ourselves. If you're spiritual or religious, you'll greatly enjoy thinking about your soul in a different way. I have to say this book really did encourage me to think outside of the box and re [...]

    22. I am always hungry to share in the insights of people I admire and respect. Oprah has collected wisdom from guests on her Super Soul Sundays (a program I have never seen) and organizes them under headings such as Forgiveness, Mindfulness, Intention, Gratitude. Her spiritual leaders include Ram Dass, Maya Angelou, Caroline Myss, Jon Kabat Zinn and many others. This is not a book you can read through and then place on your book shelves - it must be savoured and reflected upond discussed with other [...]

    23. I first discovered Oprah’s Super Soul Conversations podcast in September 2017, at a time when my day to day grind was slowly but completely taking over my life. From that point on, I started to look forward to morning drives into work again - once long and dreadful, now full of life and spiritual lessons from some of my favourite authors, business people and individuals such as Paulo Coelho, Brene Brown, Cheryl Strayed and Arianna Huffington. “The Wisdom of Sundays” compiles the best excer [...]

    24. It was a great pleasure to listen to the writings in this book, the audit interviews featured and to hear the perspectives discussed throughout the book. I have never seen the interviews and found them to be quite thought provoking and refreshing. It was uplifting and much of the content has me ruminating over several levels of consciousness; My spirit individually, our countries culture as it relates to how we express and even repress our spirit (or are indifferent to it) and the world as a whol [...]

    25. There are so many great nuggets throughout these pages. Some deeply resonated with me and others challenged my own beliefs. Some just caused me to pause and ponder in a way I hadn’t before, and some probably won’t make sense for many years. I highly recommend this collection. It’s organized by topic so it’s easy to jump around if you’re looking for some wisdom in one specific area of focus. The photographs are beautiful, but don’t distract from the messages. The only negative is that [...]

    26. This year I set out a goal to read self-help/personal development books and this one has to be most essential to how my soul's recognition of truth. Those who read self-help books know that they all say the same thing but this one has broken off the rules/principles/steps that are usually found in those books to just conversations. But don't let the simplicity of dialogue put you off the read because I found myself having to gather my emotions from the effect of the phrasing that some of her gue [...]

    27. I am glad I checked this out of the library first to see if it was worth buying.I would be interested in trying the audio version because I think hearing the actual interviews might have more of an impact than reading them the way they are presented in this book. Some are a page of insight just from the person (i think, I returned it so can’t reference back) and some are directly scripted (“oprah: tell me about person being interviewed: yes, I believe thatOprah: oh yes, I love that etc). som [...]
