    3. If you love true crime -- and you love true crime told via podcasts like Serial -- you won't want to miss this novel. And it all begins, as so many of those stories do, with a dead girl. But this one tells much more than the story that fits within the confines of a podcast, and that's what makes it so. damn. good. This is the book that will put Courtney Summers on many, many more radars, and it's her most mature story and writing to date. Put this page turner on your TBR. You won't be sad.

    4. Sadie is a kickass heroine who's dead set on avenging her sister's murder. Though Sadie's mission is life-threatening at worst, ill-advised at best, readers won't be able to help but root for her. What happened to her 13-year-old sister out there in the woods, and to what lengths will Sadie go to find the man at fault?People who couldn't get enough of season one of Serial or the addictive podcast S-Town will fly through this novel, which alternates between first person (Sadie's voice) and a radi [...]

    5. Perfect execution of this story. I loved the format. I loved what it represents. I loved the strong writing and conviction behind it. I was sitting here hoping this would be a real podcast, rereading parts that drove me insane with worry, like I could glean answers from the passages.

    6. SADIECourtney Summers5 Star18-year-old Sadie is in the relentless pursuit of a man who abused her, but worse, he killed her sister.Review:Sadie's world falls apart when her 13-year-old sister is killed. She knows who the killer is and will chase him down and kill him if he doesn’t kill her first. She follows a trail of different identities across the country but it is really the same man, a pedophile. The same one who abused her. While the subject matter is tough, This is an intense, page turne [...]

    7. This book definitely means to capture the sensation that is true crime podcasts and it delivers! The book follows a teenage girl whose younger sister is brutally murdered. Our main character, Sadie, sets out to punish her killer. The book alternates between what seems like a transcript of a podcast and Sadie's point of view. I could not put this book down, especially during the Sadie chapters. The book deals with some tough subject matter, but it was by far the best book I've read this year.
