    1. Wow!I enjoyed reading Beast's Tale more than Belle's Tale. The way this manga shows emotions of anger, fear, uncertainty, contentment and happiness on Beast's face is just amazing. The artist has done a great job!It may sound ironic but Beast is drawn beautifully. The artwork is good. The detailing of Beast's room, the rose jar stand and the mirror was incredible. I wish this manga was in colors. It would have looked more beautiful. Nonetheless, it was great and an enjoyable read.An ARC of this [...]

    2. ***Note: I received a copy curtesy of Netgalley and TokyoPop in exchange for an honest review. The art is as charming as in the first part, but the dialogues/insights seem even more crude and unfinished

    3. Copy received through NetGalleyI am reviewing both volumes in one. This was my first experience with Manga, and it was really fun. I loved the style of the art work.I had an interesting experience with the way it was told, it took me a while to get accustomed to the story in this form (I am somewhat emotionally attached to the cartoon version), but I liked it overall. Getting the Beast's side of the story in Vol. II was an awesome follow-up, the two volumes compliment each other well. I really en [...]

    4. My thanks to NetGalley and Diamond Book Distributors Tokyopop for an eARC copy of this book to read and review. This gets one less star than the first volume, as it doesn't really add anything to the storyline, despite being from a different POV, it re-uses a LOT of the artwork from the first volume, which is kind of lazy in my opinion and the action shots are usually SO close up, you can't really tell what is happening, at least not on an eReader.Same complaints as the first one, I'm a Beauty an [...]

    5. The Beast's Tale told (obviously) from the perspective of the French prince that was turned into a beast was so worth the read. As much as I am familiar with the story, there are aspects of the early pre-curse life that I wasn't familiar with. The loss of a mother and the cruelty of his father explains so much of the beast's anger. I also liked the pointing out of class differences in France especially when the Beast realizes he is falling in love with Belle. Thanks to NetGalley and TokyoPop for [...]

    6. This story shows parts about the Beast/Prince that I didn't know before (issues with his parents and such). The reader is able to know what he's thinking in different situations. Getting inside his head gives him so much more personality than in all of the B&TB tales I've seen before. I liked witnessing his interactions with the enchanted help. The action sequences really caught my attention, and I loved the cute little chapter break drawings. I've been wanting to watch the new movie, and kn [...]

    7. Original review at The Book Portal.4.75/5.00 stars.I am going to start by saying that the graphics of this manga were exquisite. (Oh! Look at me using big words.) The overall story was not very far from the original Disney's Beauty and the Beast, the cartoon. I know. I haven't seen my most anticipated 2017 movie, yet. Notice the "yet." Since it is based on the movie, there may be lots of spoilers. We learn more about the characters' backgrounds. Belle's part was confusing-ish and felt cut short, [...]

    8. This Manga re-telling of the Beauty and the Beast Story is from the Beast's point of view, which I actually liked much better than the one from Belle's POV. We get to see a little more of what goes on inside the Beast.

    9. I received and e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.I was very glad to have the chance and review this manga too, along with the first volume! The story is told from the Beast's perspective and it's so sad. His despair has caused many of the actions we see in the movie as also at some point it explains why Belle could never leave from the castle with the help of a certain book.I enjoyed the art more here but my only drawback was the art in the wolf fight. It felt more like a ske [...]

    10. I received a free advanced e-copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This manga goes with the movie released this year.I loved reading this in both Belle and the Beasts voice. I loved the movie and this manga series too!

    11. Disney Beauty and the Beast Volume 2: The Beast's Tale was just as good as the first volume!Again, the art in this book was amazing and I loved it. The illustrator really did do a great job adapting the film for a manga-style book. The Beast looks so much better as a manga-style character than he did in the film!As with the first volume, this volume covers the entirety of the film while only showing the scenes that the Beast was directly involved in. By focusing on his character, you get a lot o [...]

    12. Thank you Tokyopop and Diamond Book Distributors for providing me a free ARC of this book via NetGalleyMy rating: 4/5 starsThis is the second part of Disney Beauty and the Beast series which is the tale from Beast's point of view. I have give it an extra half point, you know why? Because it was refreshing to read this story from Beast's POV. Everybody knows Belle's POV but it was different to see this new angle. And similar to the first one, this was also beautiful. Although, I think Beast is dra [...]

    13. -ARC kindly offered by NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review-I was quietly watching emails when suddenly I get the usual NetGalley newsletter with the manga/comics news. Sometimes I avoided watching to not fall into temptation but sometimes I get it and here I am! Two manga volumes of Disney's film "The Beauty and the Beast", what do I do? Do not I ask them? Of course not. And time to connect and download them, I'm reading in PC.The story is identical to that of the film, [...]

    14. This digital arc was sent by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!actual rating: 3.5 starsCrítica em Português @ Pepita MágicaBeast’s Tale comes after Belle’s Tale, which I already reviewed here. In this second volume we have the Beast’s point of view of Beauty and the Beast, which was, without a doubt, way more interesting than the first volume. As I already wrote in my Belle’s Tale’s review, Beauty and the Beast is not my favourite Disney fairy tale, but I really [...]

    15. 2.5*Digital review copy provided by NetGalley & the publisher in exchange for an honest review or rating. This manga is a precise adaptation (cutting the musical part) of the new Disney's live-action film and it is told in two volumes. The first volume follows the story by Belle’s perspective and the 2nd volume focuses on Beast’s point of view. This manga is only good for the people who have seen this film already because it does have some untraditional story lines. Unfortunately, I was di [...]

    17. I love anything that has to do with Beauty and the beast. It was my favourite fairytale as a child. This didn't disappoint. I loved the drawings. They were my favourite part. I want to read Belle's story now!

    18. Lia's Bookish Obsession liasbookishobsession liasbookishobsession/?p=3789This Volume 2 of Disney Beauty and the Beast: The Beasts Tale the Beast perspective which is just as amazing as Volume 1, Belle’s Tale. Once again, the art in this short manga is amazing. The manga adoption features all the great detail that you would see in the live action movie of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Live Action. I feel in love with the new design of the Beast when I saw the movie, this manga has all that ma [...]

    19. This is a dual review for Mallory Reaves pair of Beauty and the Beast manga novels (Disney Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Tale and Disney Beauty and the Beast: The Beast's Tale respectively). These are illustrated Tokyopop manga adaptations of the new Disney live action Beauty and the Beast movie. They are charmingly illustrated and do a nice job of translating the revised movie plot to the page. The books act as bookends to each other, each covering the same amount of time, but from opposite poin [...]

    20. I would like to thank netgalley and Diamond Book Distributors for the opportunity to read this book. This is just as beautiful as the first volume. It also allows you more insight into the beast's character and why he became the 'beast'.

    21. Beast's Tale by Mallory Reeves is a graphic novel that together with Belle's Tale tells a story of Beauty and the Beast anew. In this part, we're given an insight into Beasts mind, his life before he met Belle and his story.I was truly excited to pick up this companion to Belle's Tale not only because I love this classic tale, but I was also really intrigued to read the story from Beast's POV. And it definitely did fulfil my expectations! It's a wonderful, fresh take on the beloved story and it [...]

    22. 'Beauty and the Beast: Beast's Tale' by Mallory Reaves with art by Studio Dice is a manga version of the Disney movie. It is a 2-part series with this part being told from Beast's perspective.Of the two volumes in the series, this is the more interesting one, since the movie mostly follows Belle's perspective. There is a bit of liberty with the story here and how the Beast got to be the way he is. The story overlaps with Belle's, but from the Beast's point of view, so you get his inner thoughts. [...]

Bellissimi i disegni. Consigliato a tutti. <3

    24. I liked this one better than the other one, mainly because we get to see the Beast's thoughts throughout this story. He's always been one of my favorite characters, and I was glad to see some light shed upon him!

    25. A fascinating look at The Beast's side of the story. What the editors said in the letter at the beginning is true, we only see Belle's side because that is what the fairy tale wants us to see. So it was interesting to find out his story.

    26. Overall: 4/5Cover: 5/5Illustrations: 5/5Editing: 4/5Appealing: 4.5/5After reading book 1, I had high expectations for this one. Telling the story from the beast's POV is a very appealing idea, but I felt that this book was too short and lack some details. Originally I was hoping to see deeper insights from the beast's POV and new graphics, like seeing Belle's beauty through the beast's eyes, but many graphics were the same with book 1, which was pretty disappointing.Still, the book is worth reco [...]
