    1. I won this in a giveaway -- Loads of good information presented in an easy-to-reference layout. No complex medical jargon to decipher as any given are explained. Appears well researched with a detailed bibliography. I will be passing this on to a friend who can really use this now

    2. Don't waste your time. On the basis of little more than anecdotal conversations, Wentz shows she really has no productive suggestions on how to deal with Hashimoto's. Windy to just fill pages. No clinical data to back her claims. For example, after one hundred pages of talking around and around Hashimoto's, she wonders if there are any foods that trigger your symptoms, and then proceeds to list nearly every food under the sun. She has no idea if there's a mechanism behind any of this - she just [...]

    3. I read Dr Wentz’s first book, The Root Cause, 4 years ago. It was the first book I had read not only by a professional who understands that we need to address the autoimmune aspect but is also a patient herself. I believe this gives her a unique perspective and insight because she truly understands what it is to live with this condition on a day to day basis.Hashimoto’s Protocol is an ideal companion to that first book. It allows the reader to take all the information from the first book and [...]

    4. This book will help you to figure out why your immune system may be attacking your thyroid and how to prevent further damage instead of just popping a pill until the day comes that your body has completely obliterated this vital organ of the body, leaving you become completely dependent on the medical system. This book teaches you that true health and wellness comes from within. The lifestyle interventions that you can make are the real path to lifelong wellness. I only wish I knew this informat [...]

    5. This is my review from :Hashimoto’s Protocol (as well as Dr. Wentz’s other book, The Root Cause) is leaps and bounds ahead of what any practitioner has relayed to me throughout my experience with Hashimoto’s. With the information in her first book I was able to get my antibodies down into “normal” on the reference range. I cannot stress enough: SHE GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK. I’m so excited to start implementing the knowledge she has imparted on her readers in the latest book. The book is e [...]

    6. Last year, I have read Dr. Wentz's first book that helped me get on the right track to reverse my (then) very severe Hashimoto symptoms. It's almost a miracle that I am symptom-free nowadays, and doctors don't recognize me anymore! As expected, this new book from Dr. Wentz is so well explained - if you are lost with your thyroid condition and don't know where to start from, this book will take you by the hand and guide you into remission. There is hope - if I did it, everybody can do it :)

    7. I highly recommend HASHIMOTO'S PROTOCOL by Dr. Izabella Wentz. She proves time and time again her expertise in the arena of autoimmune thyroid disease. This book contains proven protocols to follow to help people reach wellness. I have read other books by Dr. Wentz and this is another winner. I have been struggling with Hashimoto's for 13 years and the I really wish Dr. Wentz's books were around then! The amount of things I have learned from her books surpasses all other of their kind. It's nice [...]

    8. This book is a godsend. I often feel overloaded with info I read in books about Hashimoto's, but I love that this is such a practical guide with a step-by-step approach to addressing different issues and root causes. It's really a program in book format! While I definitely appreciate Dr. Wentz's encouragement for every patient to find their own root cause, sometimes I feel completely overwhelmed and consumed by brain fog, and all I want is to be told what to do next and this book is perfect for t [...]

    9. Finally, somebody has provided specific protocols for addressing Hashimoto's in a way that makes it easy for patients to take action, and implement the interventions! This book is so well written and easy to follow - which is key for those of us with Hashi's brain fog ; )Dr. Wentz outlines the fundamental protocols (Liver Support, Adrenals, and Gut Balance) and explains exactly what is needed to start feeling better, with step-by-step instructions, within a matter of weeks. There are assessments [...]

    10. This is probably the best book about Hashimoto's thyroiditis I've read so far--a clear, concise description of what's going wrong in the body and practical suggestions to try to correct the process with diet, supplements and lifestyle changes. Towards the end, under the "advanced protocol" chapter, she did lose me a bit with some recommendations for alternative tests and treatments, but the core of the book was solid and realistic. I would recommend this to everyone with Hashimoto's.

    11. I finally have the tool to help me take back control of my health. I can't wait to start the 90 days and see how much my life improves from how I feel now to how I feel after. Looking forward to having more energy and thinking clearer. Thank You Izabella Wentz for your passion to share this with others and help us regain our health.

    12. Dr. Wentz's book is truly amazing. It gives such valuable information & insight into a problem that affects millions. You can literally spend years and thousands of dollars trying to find out what’s wrong with you & how to get well, and you still may never get there. Dr. Wentz is basically providing you with (a roadmap) and you have to get on board for the journey.Take the trip, it's definitely worth it!

    13. Apparently, I won't get better because I'm already guilty of "attaching to a dogma that prevents [me] from getting better." Overall, this book clashes with my belief in intuitive eating. Her restrictive diet (Paleo -- no grains at all) and reliance on extreme amounts of supplements had me balking. If you still feel tired and crave carbs, try this supplement instead. Um, no. I know to avoid gluten, soy, and now dairy, obviously, but rice? Corn? Potatoes? Again, no. Vegetables and meat sound like [...]

    14. I have found this book to be very informative and helpful. There is the drawback of some of the content being American specific (testing labs, supplement brand names, etc) which will require some research for Australian equivalents. Same goes for functional medicine practitioners, which she recommends people seeing. Good luck finding one of those in my neck of the woods. But my biggest problem with this book is the pushing of a paleo diet and nothing else. There is no consideration for vegans or [...]

    15. If Ms Wentz was born to the 18th century instead of ours, her claim to fame would be snake oil salesman in a travelling caravan in the countryside. If there was a minus rating, she'd get it. I read the whole book, hoping there would be some sense in her advice, other than alarmist drivel, summary and cursory internet research and self-promoting aggrandizement. I have Hasimoto's, I'm vegan, I'm fully functioning. If I followed her advice, I'd be broke buying supplements, and twitchy with symptom [...]

    16. I was deeply disappointed by this book. I had Hashimoto's disease, apparently, about 15 years ago and my thyroid packed it in. Of all the chronic problems, the doctors tell you, this is a good one to have because all you have to do is take Levothyroxin, a synthetic replacement for the good stuff your thyroid puts out, and you're as good as new. And I suppose the point is that 15 years on, I'm still alive. But when you become hypothyroid, you develop a whole host of annoying symptoms that your do [...]

    17. I suppose what one person would call thorough another person would call long winded. I am in group two. I never thought this book would end. I understand that she wanted to cover every possible illness under the sun with a variety of things to try, buy and test, but it was over the top for me.I have not been officially diagnosed, but I obtained the book because I have had massive hair loss for 11 years now and nothing has helped, it could be from menopause, female pattern baldness or even the De [...]

    18. I would want my doctor/nutritionist/medical provider to read this and instruct me. Reading on my own would require too much self-diagnosis and diet research to actually implement it. There are different options based on results to tests that most doctors don't do. I also have no idea what to eat or how to have the time to make the food once everything is eliminated. Functional/holistic/natural practitioners may do all of these tests and guide you through this protocol, but this type of medicine [...]

    19. Great information! It was like a light turned on.l the symptoms that I have experienced over the years leading up to finally getting diagnosed with Hashimoto'sI am not alone. My journey is pretty much what most others with Hashimoto's face as well. It's scary to have an auto-immune disorder; however, it's good to know what so many have done to mitigate the symptoms and sometimes even reverse their thyroid issues. The book I got from the Stayton library was missing over 30 pages (printing error) [...]

    20. As a person who was new to my Hashimoto's diagnosis I found this book to be a very good beginning to understanding my illness and how so many factors contributed to its flare ups. I like the diet suggestions and the medical information was easy to understand. Also, it's always nice to know others experience similar symptoms when most endocrinologist's and other doctors say your "just depressed". A great and informative read!

    21. Having an invisible autoimmune condition can be lonely, but the protocols in this book are a clear road map to better health. This book could be overwhelming for one who hasn't already had some success with diet and lifestyle changes. It is not an easy or quick fix, but Izabella Wentz is thorough in helping you get to the root cause of the condition. Highly recommended.

    22. I think the protocols laid out by Wentz could be applied to almost any autoimmune disease, not just Hashimoto's. Wentz has done an amazing amount of research. Although she does promote her own line of products to use during protocols, she also provides alternative sources. I think I'll buy this book for reference.

    23. Another good book on Hashimoto's and autoimmune diseases. I am learning that alternative practitioners have a lot of useful information on the subject. No doctor has ever discussed reactive foods with me, yet I feel so much better when I avoid gluten and dairy 100%. Unfortunately, there are many foods that have the potential to be reactive, so it gets a little tricky to avoid them all :-(

    24. Did not finish because the audio book narrator sounds like a robot. There is also a lot of things you have to "do" which makes it a workbook of some sorts? Not really suitable for audio, in my opinion. May buy this book in hard copy in the future. For now, two stars for the narrator and for trying to make money on a book that is not suitable for audio, in my opinion.

    25. I'm so grateful for this book. Dr. Wentz is a fountain of information and has so many suggestions and protocols for other infections and ailments that might be taking place and not allowing for a full recovery. I'm looking forward in implementing the protocol and get my Hashis in remission.

    26. Since I suffer from Hashimoto's I was very interested in getting this book. I had read a lot of the author's articles online. While there was some valuable information in the book, it is like every other regimen, impossible to actually put in place in the real world.

    27. Not much new compared to already published books by functional medicine doctors on the topic. The suggestions I hadn’t heard about are dangerous without medical supervision.

    28. This was a good jumping off point for how to improve one's health related to the thyroid gland. The author suggests supplements and tells of her journey towards better health.
