    1. I received this book from the author through the GoodReads M/M Romance group's, Don't Buy Me Love program, in exchange for a fair and honest review. This book was just not for me. From the beginning I just couldn't follow it. I got to 4% of the book and was so lost. wondering how old this character is, after reading "staying up until 5 a.m. playing Assassin's Creed on my Xbox wasn't the wisest thing to do on a school night" and the fact that he thinks his boss who is 50 is "old", as well as wond [...]

    2. 6 Days to Get Lucky could have easily been a three star read for me. I’m going with two stars because this is a continuation of a novella from 2014, 6 Days to Valentine. Out of all the logical places where one looks for information on a book none of them mention that you should read one before the other. The blurb makes it appear that this will be about two guys that work with each other who have shared a kiss, but want something more. That’s not what I got from my interpretation of this.Nic [...]

    3. This is the second book in a series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone. The previous book, 6 Days to Valentine, was apparently about one romantic kiss that happened between mixologist Nick Valentine and Davis "Fatboy" Newman, the strong silent and "straight" security manager at the restaurant/bar Frisson where they both work--on Valentine's Day. That was three weeks ago and there's been nothing between them but a lot of heated looks, and passing gropes, since. Both men work a lot of evenings, an [...]

    5. Holy cow the angst! Nick is just as frustrating as he was in the first book, and Davis (aka FatBoy) is flat searching out Narnia. It took everything in me to finish this. I wasn’t impressed with the first book, but I thought I’d give the second one a try. There is zero character development between the two books, and nearly zero development in this installment. I didn’t feel any chemistry between the two main characters, the plot was dull, the pacing was okay (it’s seven days of book - c [...]

    6. I was given a copy of this book free by the author in exchange for an unbiased review. This book takes place approximately a month after Valentines Day. Nick and Fatboy are still dancing around a relationship. It seems that at every turn something blocks them getting together.I liked the secondary cast of characters in this series. The story carries along at a good sped with Nick not looking forward to St Patrick's Day, it fast becoming his least favorite holiday. Not so many funny bits in this st [...]

    7. 2 stars I thought this was an easy fluffy read I was wrong!Nick's angst ugh was just annoying .Nick and Davis "Fatboy" I didnt feel the love or connection between them. It was very hard to finish this one.

    8. Beyond the vague idea to bring together Nick the bartender and Davis the bouncer (who shared a passionate kiss on Valentine's Day, even though Davis is still not out at work) I honestly don't know what this was about: rambling around from the first person POV? Probably it was supposed to be funny. I didn't see any character development, just a bit of a mess.I'm glad for the author that other people enjoyed it.

    9. So this is technically the second book in a series following the novella Six Days to Valentine where we were introduced to Nick and FatBoy. While this could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading in order for context not just on Nick and FatBoy’s relationship, but also the rest of the supporting characters. Nick is the mixologist at a Bar/Restaurant. He’s looking forward to FINALLY getting to be alone with Davis “FatBoy” Newman – bouncer and very much potential boyfriend. D [...]

    11. Reviewed for Rainbow Gold Reviews. A copy was provided in exchange for an honest review. This story starts off just short of a month after book 1 ended, and all the lessons I thought Davis and Nick had learned about communicating have been lost. Even though the two of them kissed and expressed their interest towards each other, Nick and Davis are acting as cagey towards each other as they were before the revelation.Nick has given himself and Davis another ultimatum in this book. After a month of [...]

    12. 3.5-4 starsAfter their revealing kiss in Saint Valentine’s, everything seems to plot to prevent Nick and Davis from being together… Whether it is job, friends or misunderstandings, the only place they can find some intimacy is in a holding cell. Maybe that’s just life telling Nick he should find someone more suitable for him, and God knows he’s got enough suitors to choose….The second instalment in Nick’s and Fatboy story presents us with a really stressed Nick who’s trying to orga [...]

    13. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest reviewAs much as Nick drove me a little batty in 6 Days to Valentine, I was excited to see how Nick and Davis ("Fatboy") finally got together. Unfortunately, this book takes place a month later and they are still not really together. It sounds like mostly circumstance keeps them apart, but they haven't quite solidified themselves as a couple. Davis doesn't want to come out, but I don't really know why. His family knows, whi [...]

    14. *A copy of this book was provided for free by the author in exchange for an honest review.*I highly recommend reading the first book before reading this one. It'll help you with the dynamic and referenced events. I really liked this. But you have to have a certain type of appreciation for "borderline mean but not really" main characters to like Nick. He has issues, and really you can't blame him given how everyone around him treats him. Nick's co-workers started to really annoy me. I really like [...]

    15. Sequel to 6 Days to Valentine, after an amazing kiss on Valentine's Day, nothing goes right for Nick and Fatboy (Davis). For the next month, they are unable to consummate their relationship. Nick decides that maybe it wasn't meant to be and gives it 6 more days to happen. The 6th day is St. Patrick's Day. Will they make it to St. Patrick's Day? Will it all end? Every day, something happens that squashes any plans they make. Add to the mix the leader of an Irish Hurley team in town to play agains [...]

    16. *** Copy provided to the reviewer via Bayou Book Junkie in exchange for a fair and honest review. ***Nick hasn't had the best of luck in love, but hopefully that's about to change now that he's sort of together with Davis "Fatboy" Newman. However, there are a few things that might put a damper onto their budding relationship, like the fact that Davis isn't out yet, that his boss and his wife are trying to set Nick up with anyone and he can't really tell them about Fatboy or the fact that the fat [...]

    17. So I read book one a million years ago. And honestly don’t remember anything about it. And while reading this one, I didn’t feel lost So I’m guessing you don’t need to read book one to completely enjoy this one. What I do remember is that they both are around holiday’s.So Nick is trying to figure out how to get the lasting attention of this guy. He had a glimmer of it but it faded away. With the help of his hawt, dreamy, straight boss and the other people at the bar he has given himself [...]

    18. I would give this book 3.5 stars. While you could read it as a standalone, I think it would be better to have read the first book. Some of the characters' interactions are explained better in the first bookcluding Nick's habit of calling Davis "Fatboy". Nick really wants to move forward with Davis, but it seems like everything is getting in the way. Davis being in the closet doesn't help, especially when other people try to set Nick up on dates. Meanwhile, a crazy cast of characters show up at t [...]

    19. I was given a copy of this book free by the author in exchange for a honest review.I liked Nick and Davis when I read 6 Days to Valentine. I was excited to see this follow up to that book. I greatly enjoyed this story and the weird situations Nick and Davis kept finding themselves in, even if they kept them from having time alone. Nick has had some growing up to do and can't seem to get others to see it. The only thing that was hard for me to understand that even though Nick was so frustrated an [...]

    20. I got this for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.I think this is my first book from the author. I found it a very good read and the characters made the story. Nick Valentine is a Mixologist (bartender) who had a Valentine's day encounter with bouncerDavis "Fatboy" Newman. But they haven't got together since. In the Days before St. Patrick's Nick decides that if Davis doesn't make a move he will move on. I loved the secondary Character cast some of the most memorable character [...]

    21. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.I liked 6 Days to Valentine and i was happy to see that the author wrote a sequel, so we could see the dating/relationship between Nick and Davis (Fatboy) continue and hopefully further develop. I find i hard to rate this book because i have mixed feelings about it, i found that there were too many secondary characters (i had a hard time to keep them all apart) and to many other storylines that took page time away from the couple. Still i do hop [...]

    22. 6 Das to Lucky is the sequel or next installment of 6 days to Valentine. We pick up with Nick still not having been having sex with Fatboy. He is frustrated both sexually and for the fact that Fatboy is hiding deep in the closet and he is out and proud. We meet many new characters in this book. It is longer with a lot of action and some new possibilities of interest for Nick. Will he wait for Fat boy to decide or will he go with one of the new options? We get more Nick, more angst, more Fatboy a [...]

    23. In 6 Days to Valentine, Nick finally manages to get a kiss out of Davis “Fatboy” Newman, the “straight” bouncer at his bar.Now the two dance around one another in an attempt to get together that is foiled by everything from vindictive co-workers, their hellacious schedules and an Irish Hurling team!If you enjoy quirky romances with off the wall antics and a unique sense of humor this is for you!I got a bit tired of the chase and the interruptions, but really like the characters.

    24. Loved reading and seeing more of Nick and him trying to navigate through love. I found this book to be a tad on the frustrating side what with Nick and FatBoy (Davis) always seeming to get pulled away from each other because of something or other. There was a point I wish they would just break up so they could start anew. I really felt for Nick being so insecure and longing for a secure (love) relationship. I really hope to see more of these two.

    26. Another great read by L.E. franks. Loved reading more about Nick and Davis. A fun and enjoyable read. Hopefully we will get another book about these two. *ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review*

    27. This the first time I have read a book from LE Franks, it was very enjoyable. some great antics.I love Nick and fatboys characters! Great story, great writing! Highly recommend! Can't wait for the next one! I was given from goodread for a honest review.

    28. 2016 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mention: 6 Days To Get Lucky by L.E. FranksThe two novellas together are funny and touching. Plot was developed in a congrous way having reader turn page after page to see what was happening. Also well developed characters perfect pairing for the plot.

    29. If you haven't already read 6 Days to Valentine, give yourself a treat and grab it! You'll get the backstory that sets the stage :-) This book continues the story of Nick and Davis "Fatboy". I love LE's writing and how her characters just grab me and don't let go!!
