    1. A heart warming story about life and relationship between father and son. Philosophical, with a grain of sadness and naivety and so simple.I think I'm going to call my dad.

    2. In 1956, William Saroyan published a book he'd written for his daughter Lucy, written from her perspective. He called it Mama, I Love You. The following year there was another one for his 10-year-old son Aram, and this is it. It's hard to say which one I like more, because they're pretty different (daughter hanging out with mom, son hanging out with dad), but they're both essential for Saroyan fans, or any fan of books with lovable characters saying and doing kind, interesting things.Papa, You'r [...]

    3. "ผมรีบแต่งตัวแล้ววิ่งลงไปชายหาด เดินหาอะไรเรื่อยๆ เจอก้อนหินกับเปลือกหอยบ้าง ไม้ลอยน้ำมาท่อนหนึ่ง แต่ที่อยากเจอจริงๆกลับไม่เจอ - หีบสมบัตรจากเรือของโจรสลัดที่มีทองเยอะๆ ผมร [...]

    4. As always, Saroyan writes about writers and writing. This novel, however, mantains an innoncence that keeps the cleverness from getting out of hand. A kind of pre-coming-of-age story, it lays the seeds of maturity without bringing them to a fullness.

    5. A man who is a writer and his son Aram, who is ten years old, hang out together at the father's beach shack. The father gives his son tips about life and about how to become a writer. This man is divorced from Aram's mother and the son, who had been living with his mother and sister, asked to go live with his father for a week. In another of his short autobiographical novels, Saroyan charmed me, as he always does. I liked the talks they had, the foods they prepared and ate together, such as "wri [...]

    6. Finally got my hands on the book i've been dreaming about reading after seeing a one-man performance on stage by a British actor during HayFest theatre festival. Actually that was the time I started reading Saroyan, and I've been admiring him ever since. His stories, so simple yet so wise and beautiful. The bond of a father and a son pictured here is very touching.I started reading this book and there was a moment that I needed dropping it. Had I finished it months ago, I'd probably have given it [...]

    7. Interesting conversations between father and son put in many smaller stories. It is interesting to read the stories because as I believe they are written from the son's perspective who is around 10 years old. You can see how the kid is looking at the world and understands the things that are happening around him and looks for explanations from his father who tries to be as much real with him as possible. Interesting read.

    9. Philosophy as told by a ten year old is sweet and naively accurate. The relationship between father and son is admirable, but the lessons to be gained by the reader are the real reason this book should be continuously published and read.

    10. Nijak mě to nenadchlo. A filozofické řeči táty mě vytáčely, asi jsem v tom nenašla to kouzlo, kdyby mi takhle rodiče odpovídali na moje dětské otázky, asi bych byla hodně vyšinuté dítě. Ale jim to tak asi vyhovovalo a vztah měli pěkný, no.

    11. Oh, how I would love to make time to revisit all these childhood books! I have no idea what this one was about, but I'm sure I enjoyed it.
