Can't wait for the sequel!I could have taken a few marks for for some odd phrasing used, but that was before I realized this was translated from another language into English. That said this was a fantastic book full of character development, incredible world building and unexpected twists. I found a summary of book 2 on another site and I cannot wait for it to be released on so I can read it.

Slow burn romance but an awesome story line.A well written unusual love story. Stayed up way too late a few times just to see what happens next. Will immediately start the next book

So longI was so close to tossing this novel. But the fan art for this book really intrigued me, so I pushed through and read mainly dialogue until the half way point. That for me was when the story really picked up its pace.

There is a beautiful artwork accompanying the book. I was motivated to go through a book because of it but sadly the book proved to be too boring to read it. So sorry.

Despite not liking Arvid in the beginning and the romance felt a little one-sided, the world-building is amazing with lots of chances to become even better!

This was a 2.5 stars for me, rounded up to 3. I think this book suffered from a not great translation from German. The sentence structure was clunky, the word choice strange, and a general lack of appropriate pacing. I enjoyed the world building very much, and that was what disappointed me most with this book. It could have been SO much more. I eventually liked the main character, though at the start of the book she was whiny and became overly angry about the majority of things happening to her. [...]

Well. The story line was excellent. I'll say that. I love Norse mythology almost as much as I love Greek mythology, which is a lot. I do understand that this book was translated from German. But even so, it desperately needs editing, at least in English. It must have either been horribly written in German, or it suffered a great deal through translation. The sentence structures were greatly disjointed and sometimes didn't make sense. And its use of language was at best juvenile. All in all, not [...]

Good ReadReally liked this book. Its longer than most but worth it. There are some "unexciting" parts but the back story and character development is completely worth it!

A wonderful adaptation to the Norse myths of Loki and the other gods, and makes me appreciate his character all the more!
