    1. Okay, so I have the personal pleasure of knowing Kacie Davis Idol from the pre-order period when she was crowdfunding this book. I don't think this had made me biased towards it, as on one hand I think she's an amazing person, but on the other hand - Romance fiction is not really my favorite genre to say the least. As most of you know me for a thriller lover - I kept waiting for the characters to be strangled or slashed in the middle of night, which is clearly not the case here. :PAway with this [...]

    2. Once I picked it up and started reading.I didn't want to put it down. It speaks to every woman no matter her age. Every person has flaws and makes decisions they wish they could undo, but that doesn't mean their Happily Ever After isn't still a possibility. It may just look different than what you thought it would. Great story.I can't wait for the next one!!!

    3. The writing is poetic and dense at the same time and rings true in my gut. Idol absolutely knows her subject and characters intimately. The point of view changes between two protagonists and is done eloquently and on point. Time jumps back and forth between present and past while following a normal timeline. The female protagonist is obsessive and sometimes the author is too, and sometimes I want the story to move faster but then realize there is more to learn. I am enjoying the tale and it is h [...]

    4. This was a very interesting love story in the fact that the couple were truly in love, would break up, get together because they were still in love and repeat the whole process all over again. However weird it sounds, I got it. I felt it was a good story, both humorous and sad. It was also a story of finding yourself and being yourself. I'd like to thank Inkshares Publishing and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review. I found the story enjoyable, entert [...]

    5. The Tulip Factory was an easy, well written novel. The authors descriptive style was, although somewhat overdone in sections, really detailed and well thought out. Corinne was a very like able character who was seeking her personal and professional path with barriers setting her back several times. She continues to forge through until she seems to finally moving forward with success seemingly in the near future.

    6. Readers, prepare to be blown away by this exciting and enticing book from this new author, Kacie Davis Idol. The story ebbs and flows with great fluidity, much like the relatable relationship portrayed. The author did a great job of keeping the reader engaged while turning quickly into the past then back to present. A love story first, all the while skewered with realism and tragedy, I would venture to guess that every reader could find elements of this tale which could relate to your own histor [...]

    7. A quick, light, yet very insightful read on one woman's life, romance and discovery of herself. Corrine is a 28 year old receptionist who is still pining after the old boyfriend-even though they broke up over a year ago-and wondering how to get out of the rut she is in. She wakes up one day with a horrible hang-over realizing she has called her ex in her drunken haze. The story then shifts points of view between Corrine and James, her ex, filling the reader in on their break-up and what they hav [...]

    8. I won this book in a Giveaway. I usually love a good romance, especially when it is about love found and lost and found again.even when it is ultimately lost again. I can't say the same for The Tulip Factory. For me, it moved way to slowly, spending way too many chapters getting to the point. A book this size should have taken me an afternoon to read, but.d.wayoowly with its back and forth, going over the same details, albeit from each character's point of view. The characters were too dishones [...]

    9. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I requested this book because I was in the mood for a good love story and the ratings were so overwhelmingly positive I figured I couldn't lose. But this book just wasn't for me. The main character spends half of the first chapter talking to herself about drunk dialing her ex-boyfriend (a trope to divulge information--the equivalent of having a character look in the mirror to show us what they look like), and after t [...]

    10. I was very intrigued by the description of this title and I was delighted with the chance to review. However, that is where the delight ended for me. This book was predictable and just went nowhere. The characters drank way too much, but never saw this as a cause of their problems. I just felt like there was really no point in the story. The characters were flat and predictable. And the ending was just so bizarre in my opinion. I will say that the author's writing style was easy to read and went [...]

    11. Once I began reading this book, I didn't want to put it down! This story was written very well and could be easy to relate to by anyone! We have all been in Corrine's shoes in wondering if the one we left was the one and if it was a mistake to ends things, then in modern society, we make the error in judgment with the cell phone. You never know what may happen unless you take that leap. This would make an enjoyable read on a beach vacation. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review [...]

    12. This is a story of a young woman (28) that realizes life is passing her by. Corrine is content with her single life, working as a receptionist in a dental office. Her dreams of writing and journalism have faded along with her lost love, James. A chance meeting with him gets her thinking about her future. This is a good read that explores how complacency can become a rut and time moves by. I liked Corrine and enjoyed her journey.

    13. I won this book from a giveaway. This was a quick and easy read. Well written, even if the author went a little overboard with her descriptions sometimes. The main character was a little too perfect, and I didn't think it was necessary to have the book written in multiple perspectives, but other than that it was enjoyable to read.

    14. The Tulip Factory is Kacie Davis Idol's first book--hopefully to be her last. Ms Idol's turgid, redundant prose made me cringe. I usually give a book about 100 pages to see if I like it, well I could not make it past page 30!! If Ms Idol wishes to write another book, I suggest she find a Great editor to keep her from writing a second appalling book.

    15. This book is absolutely grasping! I finished the book in only four days because I could not seem to put it down. It feels like a movie is transpiring on the pages. HIGHLY recommend!!

    16. "The Tulip Factory" which I won through Giveaways is a touching love story that begins when Corrine and James discover each other in a North Carolina coffee shop. Students at UNC Wilmington the two fall in love but even after a painful breakup keep reaching out to each other.Weaving their past into the present timeline Kacie Davis Idol brings a romance to life that has Corrine struggling to find her identity but delaying her dreams as she deals with the heart break of her mother's cancer. In co [...]

    17. The Tulip Factory, written by Kacie Davis Idol, is a realistic and insightful look into a young woman's experiences in love and life. This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised.Corrine is a twenty-eight year old woman that realizes her life is just passing her by, and with that, so are her dreams of becoming a writer. She has settled for being content as a receptionist in a dental office, but is not content when it comes to her love l [...]

    18. I received this via Giveaways in exchange for an honest review.Like short people, this short book is underestimated. WTF did I put myself in for? [I try not to read descriptions of these books so I can go in with only the expectations of the book cover, which was beautiful btw.]Seriously, if you don't like to feel emotions and need all your characters to end up together & happily ever after, do not read this book late on a Sunday night when you are bemoaning your current single-hoodor do!TH [...]

    19. I loved waitress-turned-receptionist-turned-you'll-find-out Corinne. And I loved James, student of the school of hard knocks, climbing his way up and out and free. Though I liked the characters and the trajectories Kacie Davis Idol wrote for them, I struggled with some technical aspects of this book:-I don't like chapters that alternate narrators, but I can get over it unless the author also uses flashbacks and flash-forwards. One or the other may have worked. As it stands it's confusing for the [...]

    20. 4.5 Stars. I would like to thank NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for my honest review. This was a delightful, warm your heart read. The narrative switches back and forth between characters. With the way the author did this, you are more able to understand them. It has been years since I was in North Carolina, but the description the author gave, I remember somethings of the area, and was able to visually see what she was describing and felt like I was right there seeing it [...]

    21. This is Kacie Davis Idol Debut Novel. It is the story of Corrine and James. It is a good story of a relationship, and how there are many ways a couple can come together and grow apart over years. It is told from both their viewpoints. I love how the story develops and how Corrine comes into her ownybe their will be a follow-up book for her new life in the big city. James comes into Corrine's life at a North Carolina coffee shop, and she knows he will change everything. Their meeting sets off a f [...]

    22. This was a different take on romance, with a different than usual ending. I liked that. Otherwise, I was annoyed, lost, or really annoyed. There is such a lack of dialogue that I not only wanted to tell the book to take a breath, I felt like I needed one too. The book was way too descriptive. I don't need to know every single detail of clothing, or everything about the shower. What about giving me some story? I finally got some dialogue, but not enough to justify even putting it in there. It see [...]

    23. To quote the book in question, "it was great because it was real."In her debut novel Kacie Davis Idol has successfully written a wonderful novel full of inspiration for the lost soul reading it. It makes you rethink the things in life that you may take for granted, and gives a new appreciation for all things good and bad. I loved the novel because it felt absolutely real, like something that had actually happened to someone, or could happen. The characters are flawed, and that makes them perfect [...]

    24. I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. This was such a great story of a relationship and all the ways a couple comes together and grow apart over time. It is the story of Corrine and James, told from both of their viewpoints. The characters are well developed and I found myself cheering for them and frustrated with them in the way only a really good book can make a reader want to do. I encourage you to include this one in your beach bag!

    25. I really enjoyed the Prologue, caught my attention and couldn’t wait to get into the story --- the rest was the usual growing up late bloomer not caught up with the world yet. There were some great paragraphs – and, I did finish it. Studying the cover was neat because the tree is all autumn leaves but the flowers in the pot are all spring flowers!

    26. I received a copy of this book from a Good Reads giveaway. While I liked the characters in this book, I felt that it dragged on quite a bit. Some descriptions seemed too long where it would have been nice to have more dialogue. I also felt king of sad after finishing this book even though it is supposed to have a hopeful ending.

    27. A very nice short novel about a young woman. I enjoyed reading this short insightful novel. Reminded me of a previouse relationship. Told a few girlfriends to read this book since I guess they would like it.I received a free copy of The Tulip Factory from the First Reads program. Thanks!
