    1. This fun, humorous story is open to so many interpretationsYou can choose to take it as a simple story about a monkey who gets into some trouble. Sort of a parody of another famous "monkey" with a man who is also defined by the color he wears. Or you can choose to see it as a story about relationships in general. There is trust between the man in orange and the monkey. But eventually curiosity gets better of the monkey and he betrays that trust, harming them both. Just like a relationship where [...]

    2. Well, this could be something as simple as a man and his pet take a vacation. The man tells his pet to stay and be good and the pet doesn't do as he is told and it ends badly for both. If that is too simple we can get a little deeper and say the man represents western civilization. It is said that as capitalist we always want more, are greedy, never satisfied with what we have and are willing it to take what we want with out caring about the consequences. The monkey has many meanings and symboli [...]

    3. Closer than we think!A man and his monkey…a very disobedient monkey. The man is obsessed with orange. The monkey doesn’t mean to be bad…he’s just curious. It just makes you think how one small mistake can cause such a huge disaster. I read into it to see self need and the lengths we will go to for self need. And the fact that major disasters could be much closer than we think, and much easier to set off than we think.

    4. This is an all picture book with no words so use your imagination. The guy has a pet monkey who wakes him up. They eat watch tv then go on a trip. When the guy tells his monkey to stay put and not touch anything, the monkey of course doesn't listen and causes an explosion. It's a short and interesting read.
