    1. Such a cute story. The main character Gloria gas had one successful crime solved and is pleasantly surprised when another situation falls into her lap. In this second book you get to spend time with Gloria and her grand children and her new and old friends. Things are looking up for Gloria in many ways. Plus there is a murder to solve. Great fun.

    2. A quick and easy read. :) I like the MC, Gloria. And, being the second in the series, she's really liking the amateur sleuthing. ;) :) The story was a partial continuation from the first book, so I don't think it could be read as a stand alone. An interesting story and I never guessed the killer. I will continue reading this series. :)

    3. One of my favoritesI can hardly wait for the next crime the Garden Girls get involved in. Those boys are a lark. Love them all, Andrea too. She is going to be a constant, I hope.

    4. So funnyThis is the kind of book that keeps you at the edge of your seat. Where work and shopping are forgotten. The scene with the two small boys, and the dog against the Press was hilarious.

    5. Strange things are happening in Gloria's barn. Not wanting anything to happen to her inquisitive grandkids who are visiting her, Gloria sets out to solve the mystery.

    6. Book 2 in the Garden Girls cozy mystery series, and I loved it even more than book-1! The MC and supporting characters are great. Fun reads and enjoyable plots. I am anxious to read the next book in the series-Smoky Mountain Mystery.I highly recommend this series for fans of cozy mysteries. :D

    7. GreatAnother great story. Except for the very undisciplined boys. Never a dull moment with them. Always things happening for Gloria to check out. I love how she gets flustered around her beau.

    8. Enjoy Hope Callaghan's books very much. Her stories have humor, suspense and every day living. The book was very difficult to put down and when I did could not wait to get back to it.

    9. What a cute short story. The Grandma was a great detective who solved a case but not without bringing others into it. I enjoyed the book!

    10. Cute and cozy.I gave five stars because this cozy was well written and quite cozy. I can't get enough cozy reads. I would recommend it to all cozy mystery readers.

    11. As this amateur sleuth investigates what's going on in her own backyard, another murder victim turns up in their sleepy little town.

    12. Grand KidsQuick easy read. Felt I,was missing something since I had not read the first book. Had some funny parts. Not a very deep story.

    13. Gloria is at it again, this time trying to find out firstly who has been hiding in her barn, then who killed the guy in Andrea's new house. Is it Andrea?

    14. Another winner!I love reading about Gloria and her partners in crime (solving). I can't wait to read more about her and Officer Kennedy.

    15. I finished my August Serial reading assignment, but I have one more book in this stack to finish! I can't seem to get enough of Hope Callaghan lately. She is great! In this book, Gloria Rutherford is watching her Grandsons, Tyler 10 years old and Ryan 8 years old. They are always in trouble! Even when they are at Grandma's house. She has to watch them 24/7 so she decides to take them with her and her friend Andrea to look at a house Andrea is interested in buying. Well, while they are there, Andr [...]

    16. I enjoy Callaghan's writing, but I continue to find some of the pieces of the plot to be beyond believability. These are fun and light-weight reads in which an octogenarian grandma uses her insatiable curiosity to solve the mysteries that occur in her home town. In this installment, the police who had seen her as intrusive in the first book begin to feel more protective of her safety. Her grandsons figure prominently in the story, as they stumble into trouble that helps to uncover details of the [...]

    17. Better Than The First BookVery cute story, I'm loving the Christian mysteries involving little old ladies solving the crimes. This book was so much better than the first book in the series and so glad that I read it. The first one seem to just suddenly end, this book continues the story line and has a well rounded ending. Love the main character Gloria, she's this cute lady that gets herself involved in mysteries to pass time and while doing it she is slowly following for one of the detectives.

    18. The second book picks up where the first one left off. There is a little bit of romance in the air in this murder mystery. Lots of bad guys in this book. It gets exciting. The boys- Gloria's grandsons are a hoot. There are people sleeping in a barn, an old house, and secrets comming out. A surprise ending. Recipe included.

    19. Another great book by Hope Callaghan! Couldn't put this mystery/love story down. I love her books because I can read them without having to worry about running across immoral values and curse words. I would love to be able to own this entire series, and the other books Mrs. Callaghan has written. Well edited e-book.

    20. It sound more fun than it said. The grandkids did cause problems but not much thru the whole book. It was more about grandma and her detective like skills. Her friend wanted to buy this big "haunted" house and remodel it. When checking it out they found a dead body in the shed. Then grandmas skills went to work to find out the who and why of it.

    21. I love this series!! Ms. Callaghan has incorporated everything in this fun Whodunit mystery, intrigue, lots of laugh out loud moments, a blooming romance and all without graphic violence, foul language or sexually explicit scenes. Gloria is a regular senior citizen who doesn't think she is better or smarter than everyone else and the antics of her grandsons are a riot!!

    22. I love these books. After reading the first book. I down loaded the second book right away. After reading this book I decided to wait a month to buy the next book. I couldn't wait. I down loaded the next book two days after reading this one. I love these books! They are fun, adventurous, and squeaky clean. I recommend them to anyone who loves a mystery.

    23. Very fun readVery fun read. Likable characters. Plot held together well. I am on a reading frenzy to enjoy the rest of the books in the series. Can't wait to see what Gloria gets herself into.
