    1. I love all of the things. Okay? All of them. There isn't one character that even remotely annoyed me and/or that I didn't love. And I need to seek out more of the Young Avengers immediately.

    2. Let's face it: this is as good as the "teenage-ification comics" (word? It is now!) are going to get. Stories of this nature will always be a little silly, but in the case of Young Avengers, there's a huge emphasis on the "A LITTLE".In the foreword by Jeph Loeb, he says that Young Avengers should have been a disaster, a train wreck, and he is right: it very easily could have been. But the comic's greatest strength lies in how much it respects its own characters. Devoid of stereotypes or generali [...]

    3. ===============================================4.5/5 stars overall.===============================================Review for volume 1 (Young Avengers, Volume 1: Sidekicks): Years after reading all the Young Avengers comics, they are still my favourite superhero team. Up until this comic, Marvel only had 2 notable teenage sidekicks: Bucky Barnes and Rick Jones. Meanwhile, over at DC, there had been a team of solely teenage sidekicks for ages already: the Teen Titans. At this point in time, Geoff [...]

    4. The first story arc in this book is the first comics I've ever read (aside from the Donald ducks and tintins when I was a child) and what eventually got me hooked on reading comic almost 10 years ago. So when the opportunity to get this series in one collection appeared I had to get it and reread it.And it did not disappoint. In every way as good as I remembered it, maybe even better. The story takes you in right away, makes you care for the characters and gets you excited about the mystery about [...]

    5. Awesome origin stories. Interesting character mix, notably the edition of a cute gay couple. Really love the new young female "Hawkeye." "Kids shouldn't be playing superheroes. They should be at home, at school, living normal safe lives." That's a common thread in both this line and The Runaways, but it didn't work as well here for me. The Runaways has a much more cynical tone, where a "good home" could easily be just a trap. While I understood these Young Avengers kids' motivations a little bet [...]

    8. Got this book from daughter for fathers day (Aint I a lucky dad?!). Nice oversized hardcover. Young Avengers surprised the heck out of me. Turned out to have a much richer story than I had thought as the youngsters that start as somewhat cheesey mini versions of the originals quickly develop into their own characters worthy to be called to"assemble". Artwork was OK.

    9. I picked this up having read and greatly enjoyed Keiron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie's more recent Young Avengers run and because I love Kate Bishop and wanted to see where her story started. How it starts is with The Bugle and the Avengers looking into the appearence of four boys with names ripped off from Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Captain America. Then Kate Bishop and Cassie Lang show up. Then bag guys show up. And somewhere in the colourful fights, teenage issues, and fun banter the original pre [...]

    10. This is one of those rare times where I LOVE the characters but the story telling doesn't really work for me. There were some points where there were jarring jumps that left me feeling like there were panels missing. Overall, I'm invested in these teens, and I'm loving where a lot of their stories are in 2017 so I'll keep reading to fill in the back stories. But, I'll admit, I was left feeling a little disappointed.

    11. 3,5 I havent read much Avengers comics so was curious about this, it was good I enjoyed it but I wished for moret sure what but as it ended I felt like I got pieces of a story not all of it. Difficult to explain may pick it up for a reread in the future.

    12. I loved it! I've been looking forward to reading Young Avengersfor a long time now, and I'm so glad I finally did. The characters are amazing and loveable, and the story is exciting. The art is also truly beautiful. This is a great comic.

    13. GENIAL. Plein de fraîcheur, les personnages sont topissimes, un couple gay, deux intrigues vraiment bien ficelées J'ai adoré du début à la fin.

    14. I was feeling nostalgic so I decided to re-read it and is as good as I remembered. I loved these characters since the first line they spoke.

    15. I have had some difficulty getting into the new Marvel Now "Young Avengers" series mainly because I just don't care about the characters (aside from Kid Loki), because there is so little character development. Even though I have stuck mostly to reading the Marvel crossover events, I decided to pick up this original YA collection, which debuted after Avengers Disassembled, because three of them appear in both series. I can now see why it is so highly rated and I have a new appreciation for the Ma [...]

    16. Originally from hereIt’s been six years since the main series came out, but I have to say that a lot of the concerns that it brings up still resonated with me even after so much time has passed — and it’s been so long since I could call myself a teenager. There’s a great feeling of being in the now when it comes to Heinberg’s dialogue, which I guess you can attribute to the time he’s spent writing for shows like “The O.C.” and “Sex and the City”.I also loved the cleverness wi [...]

    17. Well, this had me accidently staying up until 2:30 AM on a work night because once I started reading I could not put it down. The characters were all likeable and their backgrounds all different and interesting. I liked how flawed they were and how much relatable everyday concerns affected them in addition to their superhero problems. The art was pretty decent and I thought the coloring was very well done (especially the glowing effects when Billy used his powers). It had a really nice balance o [...]

    18. Basic premise: the next generation of Avengers bands together to fight evil, except they're not very good at it, and actually aren't sure who the bad guy is. The result is hilarious and arresting and heartbreaking. Writer Heinberg of Sex and the City/Gray's Anatomy fame is awesome and wonderful, and reading the interviews included in back of this collected edition makes me love the guy more. He's a true geek--I get the impression that the character Billy/Wiccan is more than a little based on him [...]

    19. This is one of the best (if not the best) new Marvel series I have ever read. I was wondering why there is so much hype for this book. On first look it seems rather lame. You have teenagers with powers modeled after the most famous Marvel characters. Despite I approached the book with suspicion and I was so wonderfully surprised at the end. You simply need to give it a try. Everything is so good about this book. The characters are so interesting and believable (I know, “believable superheroes [...]

    20. The Young Avengers appeared in 2005 in the wake of "Avengers Disassembled". Despite Joe Quesada telling fandom that it was the best pitch he'd ever read, we remained skeptical - justifiably so, given the goofy name and the seemingly-ridiculous premise. Then the comic came out and everyone was stunned at how good it wsas.In this book, Allan Heinberg introduces a handful of characters who all have some connection to the Avengers (however tenuous), and they're some of the best-written teenagers to [...]

    21. This book is sort of weird. Located in a more distant future where most of the Avengers have died (or just never found) and the city need superheroes to counter super-villains. It is weird because it shows how teenagers abuse their power to spread popularity, that resulted in massive retaliation against them. Some of the story parts are just mind-blowing like how there are aliens in the middle of Earth's society. Then 2 alien races fought over who gets this "mixed alien-Earthling child" that alm [...]

    22. One of ym favourite comic series. I just re-read them for the frist time in a while (this time for an academic paper analyzing the presence/importance of queer & minoity characters), and I fell in love with all the characters once again. Even though I don't enjoy this run of the comics as much as the Kieron Gillen run, this is an amazing comic, one of my all-time favourites. I especially enjoyed this omnibus edition, as I not only got to experience the great writing and art-work again, but t [...]

    23. In this graphic novel, it tells the tale of how the Avengers were destroyed and how a new era of superheroes were chosen by The Vision to be the next Avengers, while Captain America and Iron-man are searching for the “Young Avengers” they find Iron-lad, Iron-lad tells them who he is and reveals that Kang The Conqueror is trying to find the “Young Avengers” and destroy them. Captain america and Iron-man wants to destroy the young avengers, Captain America's reasoning is because of what h [...]

    25. Without a doubt one of the best series I have ever read. Totally deserves the accolades heaped upon it. There was a compelling plot. Excellent character development. Great personal challengers for them to overcome. And I could relate to them as a teenager. Loved the diverse makeup of the team. The quality of the art was excellent as well. It is just a pity that the 2013 series had art that looked like it was drawn by a five year old, convoluted plot lines that made little sense and had me going, [...]

    27. As the avengers somehow disassemble someone needs to take their place The young avengers will rise! But who are the young avengers?!
