    1. Ella moves to Alaska with her young son Robbie to escape her abusive ex-husband. When a kidnapping attempt is made on Robbie, handsome search-and-rescue worker Josiah along with his canine partner Buddy, come to Robbie's rescue. Since the kidnapper has yet to be caught, Josiah and Buddy protect Ella and her son until the danger passes. This was a good read, if a bit predictable at times, with mild suspense, a sweet romance, a cute kid, and a lovable dog.

    5. To Save Her Child by Margaret Daly starts with a great opening scene that had me holding my breath. It also had a surprise outcome for me which I always enjoy. Josiah is a great hero. He has retired from the Marines and is dealing with PSTD and has a service dog, Buddy that he has also trained for search and rescue. This is how he met Ella as she works for Northern Frontier Search & Rescue. She has run from her own past issues and is starting to be comfortable in her new life. Her son Robbie [...]

    8. Romance and danger!I've become a real fan of Margaret Daley's writing and especially her Alaskan Search and Rescue series. I'm a sucker for suspense and stories set in Alaska so To Save Her Child was a double winner in my book.I think To Save Her Child is probably my favorite in the series so far. There was just something about Ella and Josiah, two very wounded people, learning to trust and love again that tugged at the heart.I also really liked the character of Buddy. Emotional support dogs are [...]

    10. To Save Her Child by Margaret Daley is aptly described as 'riveting inspirational romance." 11. There are so many twists and turns in this story that you will need your own search and rescue canine to lead you safely to 'the end'. Suspense lurks on every page and things aren't always what they seem. I shouted warnings until I was hoarse but did the hapless heroine listen to any of them? Of course not. She blithely went on her merry way. Thankfully Josiah wasn't keen on letting her out of his sight. Loved the slow build of romance in the midst of all that suspenseful tension. And loving thi [...]

    12. After finishing a book about death under Stalin, I figured this silly thing would be a quick palate cleanser -- I'd picked it up months ago to joke about with my dad, who also did search and rescue with his pup. I realize it's probably pointless to include a one-star rating here, as I presume the readers who buy this book in seriousness are getting exactly what they want out of it. But my god, this book wasn't even a good ridiculous romance. Buyer beware: apparently Harlequin's "Love Inspired" S [...]

    14. This is the second installment in the Alaskan Search and Rescue series. I loved the first book and knowing the author's talent in writing I knew I would also like this book. Yet nothing prepared me for the emotions this story would evoke. I loved this book also. It's a story that will tug any parent's heartstrings and touch one of their greatest fears-child abduction. Ella Jackson has a history she prefers to not talk about. Even with moving to Alaska two years ago she still looks over her shoul [...]

    15. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the spiritual messages, and inspirational quotes that was weaved throughout the story. 16. 4 STARS Search and rescues put so much time, effort and money to help people. I am grateful for the many who do that around the world. This story gives a us a glance at how hard and how important their work is. It shows them working all night to find a gentleman lost from his care center then turn around that next morning and search for three missing boys. To Save Her Child is full of drama, action, dogs and suspenseful. It is fast paced story you will not want to put it down. It mentions prayer [...]

    17. The part I liked best about this book was the authenticity of it. You can tell that the author has done her homework! Not only are the characters realistic but the situations and the dialogue. I was pulled in from the very beginning. Ella and her son, Robbie, are definitely guarded in their relationships with others but when you find out why, you understand. The book opens with Ella's son going missing from his day camp! As a mother, I can't imagine anything more terrifying than getting a phone [...]

    18. This was a pretty good book. Ella is the organizer of the Alaskan search and rescue. She is integral in the operation, but when she gets a call that it is HER son that is missing, things change. She and Josiah have never been friends but he doesn't hesitate to help when she tells him what is going on. He and his search dog go to find her son. As they investigate exactly what happened to her son and his friends, things get twisted and more convoluted. The two of them grow closer and closer as the [...]

    21. In this latest book in the Alaskan Search and Rescue Series by Margaret Daley, she continues the story of people risking their lives to save the lives of others. In this book, the ones at risk are young boys. Alaska is a dangerous place for children to get lost with all of the wildlife, such as bears and moose, and the lakes, rivers, and caves. When there are predatory people around, it gets even more dangerous. Mix that with a mom who is trying to hide her son and herself from an abusive, crimi [...]

    22. This review first appeared on my blog loriscreativity/2Like: The ending and the setting.Dislike: NothingWould I recommend it?Yes, I would definitely recommend this book. It's a clean Christian romance, that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I took me about two hours to read this book, once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.I really like that you can tell that the author did her homework and really knew what she was talking about. She took the time to research her setting [...]

    23. What a wonderful second book in this series. Ella loves her job at the SAR. David from book one is her boss and she really enjoys working for him. She also enjoys the other people who work and volunteer there. One of these people is Josiah, a young man who used to be in the military and returned a different man. Josiah has his secrets and Ella has hers. They have to learn together that they can't keep secrets from each other. Then Ella's past finds its way back. Together they learn that in order [...]

    24. I thoroughly enjoyed this book in which we see a few different search and rescue incidents. The major focus is on a boy aged eight, whose mother left an abusive marriage. The boy is missing from camp and loose in the Alaska wilderness, after a strange man tries to abduct him. Enter the local SAR team including search-trained German Shepherd dogs. The tensions continue and the whole neighbourhood is on the watch for this man so we get to see what happens when an Amber Alert is issued and how a ma [...]

    25. This was a sweet story and one that I really enjoyed. Both Ella and Josiah have had things happen in their past to make trusting others hard, but it was great the way they both were working through it. Josiah was such a wonderful guy! I loved the way he took Robbie under his wing and became a godly man in his life. If you enjoy Christian romantic suspense, I'm sure you'll love this book.I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - wh [...]

    26. To Save Her Child the second book in the Alaskan Search Rescue series by Margaret Daley was a very good book. Josiah Witherspoon was a prison of war and healing from it. He works for a company that does search and rescue using dogs. Ella Jackson has a ten year old boy. The boy is lost in the woods when some man follows him. Josiah searches for him. Plus Ella's ex husband is after her. Josiah tries to protect Ella and her boy. A Lot goes on in this book. Lots of suspense. Have to read it.

    27. To Save Her Child is the second installment to the Alaskan Search and Rescue series by Margaret Daley. I cannot stress enough how much I love Daley's writing and this book is no exception. I was captivated with the story from page one. I loved the interaction between Josiah and Ella. A good, sweet, and clean romance. Also loved the characters of Alex and Robbie. And of course the dogs too. Great suspenseful read. Five stars

    28. AwesomeElla was dealing with her distrust of men after the way her ex-husband had treated her and Josiah was dealing with PTSD from being a POW. Wonderful story of learning how to trust and forgive. Josiah was a part of search and rescue team that helped to search for Ella's son Robbie when him and two of his friends went missing from summer camp. Loved all of the secondary characters. Hopefully there will be more books in this series.

    29. I love stories set in Alaska and this tale of a single mom and a SAR volunteer had a lot of potential. However, there were some technical issues with the writing, particularly head-hopping POVs, shallow/telling prose, and repetitive internal dialogue. This wasn't a deeply engaging novel in which I felt really connected to the characters or was on the edge of my seat with suspense, but for a couple hours' escape it was entertaining enough.

    30. This is a very good story. I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn't put it down. Ella is hiding from her past. Josiah is trying not to react to his. They need each other but don't know it. There is a lot of suspense and mystery. It is an amazing story of overcoming fear and the need for forgiveness.
