    1. I've read and enjoyed many of Calum Kerr's flash fiction stories in the past, and I recognise him as a leader in this specialised field, in which I'm now compiling my own first collection for publication later this year. I was therefore very pleased to discover this how-to book to help me fine-tune my own flash fiction writing craft. It is, appropriately enough, a short but comprehensive book, encouraging the aspiring writer to look at all aspects of writing flash and with helpful exercises set a [...]

    2. Short and sweet. This book contains chapters about key aspects of storytelling to consider when writing flash fiction and how they differ from other forms like the novel or short story. Each chapter contains practical exercises to improve your skills and develop new techniques. At the end of the book thee are flash fictions which serve as examples of what these chapters have been discussing. A really useful, interesting tool for anyone interested in flash fiction.

    3. Proof in short length fully substantiated, Kerr's flash guide is thorough, direct: chapters cover essentials: prompts, character, hooks, plot, dialogue and perspective. I recommend this to those genuinely interested in its exercises of good quality which when I took them on produced positive results. This book was a fantastic guide for this author needing to get back in shape.

    4. It's a good little book with plenty of useful information ranging from coming up with ideas for stories through to the finished product. The author gets right to his subject and even includes a sampling of his own work as examples of the completed genre.

    5. Worth the Read! Concise, informational, well structured and applicable. This quick read is highly recommended for anyone trying FF or needing a quick brush up. Kudos to the author.
