    1. JUST FINISHED IT!!! I loved it! It was a LOT shorter than Grim, but I loved it! Review to come!I can not wait.Every time they mentioned Wray and Kim in 'Grim', I was just like And now I hear that we get to read it. So excited! Can I just see it now? Please?

    2. So in the first book we kept hearing about the first Earth girl who had arrived in the Skittle-alien's world, Kim, and how she overcame a lot of crap to become the Empress of this universe. I kept feeling like I was missing a pretty big piece of the puzzle because the references to Kim were like something we were supposed to know, but didn't. Like your parent's anniversary, your dog's birthday, or your friend's phone numbers (without our phones saving them - face it - we are all helpless and wou [...]

    3. Prequel to Grim by the same author.2.5 stars. I'm fairly disappointed with this book. Mainly because I so very much adored her first book in this series. GrimI have to say this book had much better editing than Grim did, but the plot was not holding my attention well. If there is a choice to be made, I have to say I'll take editing issues with a great story any day over good editing and a so-so plot.I don't want to make excuses for the author, but I do know after Grim's popularity exploded - peo [...]

    4. Re read via audible - increasing rating.Prior comments:I am giving this 3 stars because I really like the overarching story of this series and I believe the author is a good storyteller. I admired the heroine. But I had some big issues with Wray in the beginning that clouded my overall enjoyment of the book. But for one of these issues, it would probably have been 4 stars. Kim had to withstand unspeakable horrors at the hands of her abductors. Wray and his men saved her. They became very attache [...]

    5. 8/28/16 And another reread of my favorite of all time. I'm sure I will continue to reread it. Original review 2015This was a re-read for me. Not sure if it's the 3rd or 4th time but I still love it. I love the romance and how Kim grows from a selfish, spoiled brat to an amazing, strong woman. Wray is one of my all time favorite heros. He is so patient and loving. He is just what Kim needs and she is just what he needs. I love M.K. Eidem and I love this series.

    6. 4 starsA quick note in lieu of a review. To everyone that read the first one, this one is vastly improved in editing, grammatical errors etc. It's also thoroughly enjoyable as well as a great addition to the alien romance category.

    7. This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceWray is the second book in the Tornian series and was the last book of the series that I read (which doesn't count the novellas) and I have to say that even though I adored this couple in so many ways especially in the ways that we see them in book one Wray. I will say that this is probably my least favorite book of the series. Not saying I didn't enjoy this book because I truly loved it, but it didn't have the thrill or chemistry that I fe [...]

    8. ** Spoilers **I knew that reading and enjoying the first book would be too good too be true. The second book started off in a manner that made me uncomfortable, very Uncomfortable.Wray finds Kim and saves her from Slave Traders, ok, we knew that from book oneand in my opinion that was enough background needed on the couple.Wray knows that Kim has been beaten, abused and raped, and yet, the FIRST thing that he does when he gets her alone is to bathe her, fondle her, feel her up, and Probe her whil [...]

    9. 4.25 stars!!I totally enjoyed the romance in this story. Wray (the Emperor hero from Torino) and Kim (the young heroine from Earth) had a very sweet and loving relationship. They were both very good to each other and very concerned with each other's happiness. That is something I enjoy reading instead of books where the couple fight and push/pull for a majority of the book. Wray was a kind, strong, noble man. His focus and main concern was always Kim , and her well-being. Kim was a decent heroin [...]

    10. Well that was another different read for me!I read this because I was amazed with the first book, Grim. This one is just as interesting! The plot isn't that hard to figure out. A human woman gets into the hands of bad aliens and is rescued by another alien who's honorable and good. They figure out their differences and fall for each other. But wait There are so many obstacles when you love a person different from you. That is what readers should look forward to in this book. How does a couple di [...]

    11. In the first book in the series, we meet Grim and Lisa, in this book we jump back in time a few months and see how the Emperor, Wray, met Kim the human woman who changed everything, leading to the events in the first book.Kim is barely hanging on to life, she doesn't know how long it has been to the ugly, smelly, hairy aliens have taken her, but all she can feel is the cold and the pain. That is until Wray saves her and starts to take care of her. Despite all she has endured she can't help but f [...]

    12. Stars: 5++Overall: Kim lost her parents at a young age and her older sister stepped up to take the role on, but Kim didn't make the task easy and when she turned 18, Kim said some nasty things to her. After six months of being on her own, Kim realizes the mistakes he made and tries to fix them, but finds out that he sister has been missing. After another six months Kim finally goes out to where her sister was and gets kidnapped by some cruel aliens herself. She is than rescued by Wray and his fe [...]

    13. Well obviously I couldn't wait for the book to come out. I loved the story. As usual MK did not disappoint me with her writing skills. She brought together Kim and Wray in such a nice way. There was enough story and action to show the development of their feelings for each other. It was nice to see the Emperor falling for little Earthling and have his sweet side coming out.Can I say I wished for more? I loved the fact that Kim and Wray have spent time together getting to know each other and emer [...]

    14. Great follow-up to Grim.ough it's kind of a prequel as well. It's starts off with Kim daydreaming about how she met Wray. In Grim, we only got snippets of this story so it was nice to get all of the details. We go through Kim's kidnapping and abuse by the Ganglions, her rescue and subsequent crash on a desolate planet, but the best part is that we see how Kim and Wray fall in love. It's super hot and really touching as well. The only part I didn't like was the first time Kim meets Wray's son Tora. [...]

    15. Unfortunately I didn't like this book as much as Grim. It was so disappointed as I really loved Grim. I liked that it told Kim and Wray's story, but Kim really just seemed like a weak heroine with all the crying and being scared. I kept thinking that she was going to be the empress? She really didn't impress me and didn't show me how she could possibly grow to be the empress she needs to be for Wray. (view spoiler)[I was also unsure if the story with her sister was going to be concluded in the b [...]

    16. Okay, whenever it threatens to become face-slappingly stupid, the author somehow redeems it. I had lulz. I'm going back to read the earlier ones~which are actually chronologically after this oneah

    17. 3.5 stars With the way this series has been written, some would feel the story unresolved if they have not read the first installment. It felt a little backwards and odd. But, I still liked the story. This one still needed an editor but it wasn't too distracting like the first book.

    19. Liked this book almost as much as Grim. I think I shaved off a star for the insta love. An author has to really sell that beginning to me. Mean I knowsynopsis from the coverEmperor Wray Vasteri was the ruler of the Tornian Empire. His House has ruled the Empire ever since the great infection, which struck over five hundred years ago and he feared he would be the last. The number of compatible females was dwindling faster than anyone knew. If they could not find compatible females soon, their ent [...]

    20. A thoroughly enjoyable step back (before Grim) and while not as gritty as I expectedd quite honestly, hoped for did embellish the world of the Tornian empire, and introduce many characters and situational possibilities for the continuation of a series.I liked both Wray and Kim a lot. I was impressed by the willingness of the author to make no character off-limits forwell, off limits. No spoilers here, sorry. If I have a comment with this book, it would be this: there was a background setting of a [...]

    21. I love audiobooks but the sound effects that they put in this series are distracting. It was nice to finally have Kim and Wray's story but I might get the rest of this series in ebook editions. I liked the first book in the series more than this one. I thought we would get to see Kim address the House of Lords, as referenced in the first book. It also bugged me that they talked about more than one universe. I understand that Wray is the Emperor of the "known universe" so Kim is from an unknown p [...]

    22. The second book in the Tornians series by M.K. Eidem. Kim Teel is kidnapped from Earth by the Ganglians. When Emperor Wray travels to the Kaliszian Empire they encounter the Ganglian ship and Kim is rescued. When the Emperor is returning to his ship with Kim they are attacked and crash land on a deserted planet.I really liked it. Still had to deal with poor editing but the story itself was entertaining. I did feel it was odd that this book was the second in the series instead of the first and I [...]

    23. Overall book review: 4 Stars Audio book: Narrators - Bennet Cousins, Robert Coltrane, Matt Weight and Rachel Bieber5 Amazing stars Book Cover: 3.5 StarsAnother amazing audio for this series, WOW and WOW. I loved the audio so much I will listen to it again and again. The story and the plot I liked and appreciate.

    24. This book is closely intertwined with the first book, Grim. Indeed, we see the real ending of this one, in the ending of the first book. Pretty sure this one was an after thought, and I'm very glad MKE made the choice to expand the story into a full novel.Bad aliens abduct our h Kim Teel whilst she was looking for her missing sister Jennifer & her b-in-law Todd, on the side of a mountain. She's rescued from the abuse and torture by the Emperor Wray of the Tornians. Lots of culture shock, swo [...]

    25. If you already read Grim in the Tornians Series, you know the ending to this book. What the author has done here is to fill in the blanks as to how Emperor Wray Vasteri and Kim Teel came to be* * * * I have been waiting for another installmant in the Tornians series ever since i read Grim so to say my excitement was high is probably an understatement (even though I had issues with Grim). That being said. The ending of this book is already known as Wray & Kim were featured as secondary charac [...]
