  • When the doors of the lift crank open, the only thing Thomas remembers is his first name But he s not alone He s surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade a walled encampment at the centre of a bizarre and terrible stone maze Like Thomas, the Gladers don t know why or how they came to be there or what s happened to the world outside All they know is that every morning when the walls slide back, they will risk everything to find out

The Maze Runner The best thing The Maze Runner could offer is the maze itself, though those spectacle couldn t help us ignore the final minutes of the film, but it still overpowers the overall experience Personally, I would rather look forward on a video game adaptation if it s even possible than the sequels, but I don t know. 1. Similarities with the novel “The Hunger games” by Suzanne Collins. The leader is here a boy instead of a girl. An external powerful group of people (scientists) forced a group of boys (plus one girl) to withstand strong life conditions (in a labyrinth populated by monsters) in order to select them for other purposes (to ground a new colony on an Earth almost destroyed by solar heat). The girl plays here a minor role. At the end of the novel, what remains of the boys is rescued by soldiers an [...]

    4. Début très long !
