      • Kate Avery Ellison

I ve been making up stories since I was five years old, and now I m thrilled to be able to do it as a full time job I have an obsession with dark fantasy, dystopian futures, and Pride and Prejudice style love stories full of witty banter and sizzling, unspoken feelings When I m not writing, I m creating digital art, reading funny blogs, or watching my favorite shows which include TVD and BSG I live with my geeky husband and our two bad cats in Atlanta, GA.Click here to read the first chapter of THE CURSE GIRL Click here to read the first chapter of FROST Attention Book Bloggers If you are interested in interviewing me or reviewing one of my books, send me a message I d love to hear from you Please note I am currently not able to fulfill most requests for print copies at this time, but you can always ask However, I am ALWAYS able and happy to provide e copies or PDFs of my books in exchange for an honest review If you re wondering why I categorize books as breathless, cake, or amnesia, check out this blog post

    1. A nice short story that gives us Gabe's point of view; it was nice to be able to read his point of view and fill in some of the blanks. I understand him better now.

    2. Oh Gabe! How I've missed you!Its been a couple months since I finished this series so this little novella was fun to read. Loved his POV, I liked the bits from his past, would have loved more moments when he was with Lia though.Lia. Her face filled my mind, with her sharp, flashing eyes and fierce mouth. Her confidence, her strength, her unacknowledged gentleness, her loyalty.I would ask her to go with me, and hope with every hair, bone, and sinew of my body that she would tell me yes.I was leav [...]

    3. 3.5 starsGabriel, Gabriel, Gabriel o_OI would really like to say that this short made me finally start appreciating this characterI would like to, but I can't.From a spoiled background as a prince, to a fugitive in the Frost, Gabe hasn't had an "easy life":He got dumped by his fiancéeThen he got arrestedThen he got shotAnd then there was Lia his saviour.Honestly, I have absolutely no idea why there is a love triangle! For me, the thing that I liked the most in this novella was that Korr appeared [...]

    4. Wow, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this short story. I liked Gabe okay but he wasn't one of my favorite characters from the books, so I thought this would just be run-of-the-mill, not that interesting stuff. We only got traces of Gabe's backstory in the Frost books, and to be honest, I had felt that a lot of them were for sympathy factor. But here, his story was forged with a lot of depth. Gabe isn't always the hero or the good guy, but you find yourself hoping things will work out. You l [...]

    5. A great story showing the origins of Gabe, his relationship with Korr, how he became a fugitive and how he ended up in the Frost.I was afraid that once we got to the events of the books it was going to be redundant. But instead it flashes back and forth between different times so it always seems new. The events from the book told by his perspective seemed well done.Overall a great little story and does well filling in the blanks with GabeTE: I received this book for free in exchange for an hones [...]

    6. I'm so pleased that Ms. Ellison decided to do these little snippets of stories that can be placed in between the Frost novels. I loved the frost books and I am glad we got to see more about Gabe's backstory. It explains a bit more about the conflict between he and his brother, and how he escaped in the first place. I was sorry to see the Frost stories end but was definitely glad these snippets were written.

    7. I really enjoyed this one. Excellent insight into Gabe, and I liked the way it was structured, jumping between the present and the past. It was a little repetitive seeing things that had already happened, but from his point of view, but I found it less repetitive than Brewer, maybe because of the structure. I also preferred this one because it gave more of a window into Gabe's past than Brewer did with Adam, since Brewer felt more like little glimpses of Adam's past.

    8. This is an excellent short story based on Gabe's life before and after he came to the Frost. I love reading the story from Gabe's perspective.cially the scenes that were originally told from Lia's viewpoint. The story fills in so much about Gabe's character that it is a must read if you are a fan of The Frost Chronicles!

    9. This a short story about Gabe what happened that he ended up in the Frost.Gabe is a nice character he made some mistakes out of hurt.Liked this novella as a addition to the series

    10. Awww Gabe! This was a nice little story, I liked Gabe and how he fit in with everything. This was a great tie in to what was going on.

    11. 2.5 stars.Same drama "I love you, but you chose someone else" with Lakin. We just learn (again) that Korr can be trusted (OKAY LIA?) and how Gabe escaped.

    12. Blah. I really don't know why I keep reading this series. So full of plot holes and the so called love triangle? And seriously how many girls does Gabe fall in love with? Flighty boy.

    13. I hated how quickly the story was over, but I enjoyed the insight into Gabe's head. Best to read this between books 4 and 5 of the Frost Chronicles.

    14. It's nice to have Gabe's point of view. I just wish it had been a little longer, and had given me the story of what happened when he went through the gate. But I will take it. I love this series!
