    1. I have waited for the publication of this book for years. I first read it as free online fiction when I was still getting my feet wet in lesfic and I can honestly say that more than any other book, it was this one that got me hopelessly hooked. Four years and a few hundred books and fanfics later, I still count this as one of my all-time top 5 favorite reads. And I'm glad to finally be able to officially place it on my favorites shelf. The premise of the book alone is heart-wrenching. What do you [...]

    2. I would easily say this is one of my all time favorite books! I don't think I have ever seen such a connection between 2 people Both characters are obsessed with eachother At a point of time I wanted to kick Amy or slap her just wake her the hell up! I wouldn't say this is a romantic book because the amount of frustration you feel is insane! The obsession is just insane and the stubbornness drives you crazy at a certain point. I couldn't put the book down The only issue I have is trying to fin [...]

    3. This is a very well written story that goes outside the usual formula for lesbian fiction. When girl meets girl, they don't like each other. Amy is married to Celeste's twin brother and is a very busy mother of twin boys. She is also an overworked and stressed architect. Celeste is a doctor traveling to the war torn countries of the world. They are slowly and steadily drawn to each other though they try in vain to fight it. There is laughter, tears and tragedy in this story.I put down this book [...]

    4. To some extent, this book was painful to read, but it was worthy of every single heartwrenching minute. But to make it short, I also think, as someone has already said, that Jem's review says it all. And yes, the book is great, but the cover is awful (not a fault of the writer of course).

    5. I didn't like the story at first (I took a few days off of reading even) then the author decided to make things ugly and even uglier and I found myself turning pages. This is not an ideal romance. It's gritty and some parts are, quoting another reader, hard to read but there is something special about it that's gonna reel you in. (view spoiler)[Amy and Celeste did an awful, awful thing and good 'ol karma went ape shit in the worst ways. The intense attraction (eventually, love) between them, and [...]

    6. I think Jem's review says it all. This is a very special book. That will remain in my memory for a long time. Some say in their review that it is a roller coaster of emotions. That's true, but what a journey to experience as a reader.(view spoiler)[ Since the book has to do a great deal with cheating, I did not know if my feelings could go with the love story. But I found out that it did not bother me as much, then I thought It would. And that was because of how the story was brought. And when a q [...]

    7. I actually pushed back in reading this book due to the cover. I thought it was your typical book with just sex. Anyway, I can't say that this is one of my favorites, but I enjoyed the journey with Celeste & Amy. Aside from the main couple's chemistry, the supporting characters were also fun to get to know.

    8. Well damn, that was quite a roller coaster, but very well done for this genre. I was definitely pulled in and fully immersed in this book once I began reading. The characters are complex and actually act like real life humans. There is angst, and stupid decisions, mind games, and a whole host of things that people actually do to one another even when in love. Couldn't quite believe what I was reading after one incident. I threw my hands up and exclaimed in the general direction of the author, "Y [...]

    9. .Having never read a f/f based book before I'm left unsure of what to think and how to feel upon finishing this story? What I can clearly state is that this book was engaging, endearing, heart-wrenching, thought provoking which stirred my emotions from beginning to end. I haven't read such a moving and compassionate book as this in ages, simply ages, it even kept me up all night til I'd finished it. I couldn't stop reading it til I was done. Perfect lives in fiction can be stayed; feeling unrea [...]

    10. If you like a boat load of angst wrapped up in a roller coaster ride of emotions then this is the book for you.I am impressed with this authors ability to weave such a complex story with characters and scenes I will not soon forget. The premise might be stereotypical Lesfic but what sets Denial apart and above the rest is the authors vivid and spot on portayal of all her MCs along with several fully developed ande entertaining side characters. I did think the ending was a bit too rushed and unre [...]

    11. Dr Celeste Cameron is used to working in a war zone. Danger is no stranger to her. On Celeste’s return to America from Somalia after a particularly harrowing experience, Celeste meets Amy, her twin brother Josh’s fiancée. The two women don’t exactly hit it off right away. When Celeste and Amy begin to spend time together, it’s apparent there is an attraction between them. The feelings Amy evokes in Celeste are far more dangerous to her well being than working in the war zone. Amy is begi [...]

    12. Wow what a ride. This book runs a gambit of emotions. On a few occasions I thought I might give up on the story, but so worth seeing it through. Kennedy really does a great job with the infidelity and the intense attraction that will not go away no matter how much time, distance or denial the characters employ. People are imperfect, I like how we got to see all the fallout and consequences from the choices that Celeste and Amy made along the way and how it not only affected them but the people a [...]

    13. 4.4 starsThis book is extremely well written. The author does an amazing job weaving this epic story of passion, infidelity, punishment, tragedy, and love. Jackie Kennedy throws us into one of the most taboo issues of all, cheating on your spouse and doing it with your spouse's twin! I think one of the things that made this book so well done is that the author didn't shy away from the ugliness of it all. If she was serving up infidelity, then she was going to grab us by the scruff of our collar [...]

    14. I’m giving this book my highest recommendation, not because it’s perfect…far from it…but because the author had the guts to write it and it’s so worth thinking about. Basically, this book isn't about failed relationships, adultery, or lesbians. This book is about good people getting caught up in a situation almost beyond their control. Others would neatly label as weakness, selfishness, failure to honor commitment or accept consequences, but that scenario is just too simple to explain [...]

    15. ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ!!! The chemistry between Celeste and Amy is unbelievable and Kennedy's style of writing is bold and absolutely breathtaking. You cannot help falling in love with every single character. Before I started reading this book I had always said to everyone "who can cry by reading a book? impossible". Well, boy was I in for hell of a ride. I could not put the book down so I ended up pulling an all-nighter and found myself crying to a book for the first time. "Deni [...]

    16. I was initially a little bit skeptical buying the book as there were only a handful of review on amazon. I was pleasantly surprised and I've finished the book in one sitting. When I start reading the book, I thought gosh, the chemistry and attraction between the two characters were already so intense at 14% of the book, how will rest of the story carry out? I was certainly not disappointed. Throughout the book, you'll see the ups and downs that both Amy and Celeste gone through; one who is consis [...]

    17. Can't judge a book by its cover. Because yeah, Denial's cover doesn't satisfy my eyes. Not the worst, but it doesn't convey the BRILLIANCE OF THIS BOOK. This used to be uber, right? I get those vibes and sometimes, that's not a good vibe. However, forget that noise! This book is supremely engaging, heart-wrenching, and steamy. I alway enjoy fiction sex with romance and plot blah, blah all that. Damn, this delivers. However, it's not only about sex. This book is a journey. I genuinely felt for th [...]

    18. This is the best lez-book I've read since the masterpiece Carol by Patricia Highsmith.I really enjoyed the depth of the characters, the flashbacks were really well placed, never a dull moment. The angst was so well delivered, for example when Amy's mother walks on them I really felt the tension and angst I felt in many Highsmith's books.I hope Ms Kennedy will publish a new book, or maybe another book with Amy and Celeste life as a couple :)

    19. Poorly edited and strained credulity at times, but it has an interesting theme and set-up. I almost put it down several times, but the author is a talented enough storyteller that I wanted to know how it ended. I wouldn't buy it or read it again, though. The ending was a bit of a disappointment.

    20. "We're lucky. We live in a time where our lives aren't dictated too much. We don't have to stay on the road with no interruptions, no deviations, no loose ends. We have the freedom to do things that we want to, change direction: live our lives as we choose."What happens when you find your soul mate at the wrong time? Engaged to Josh, a sweet and considerate man, Amy never expects to find passion with Josh’s twin sister Celeste. Their attraction is undeniable but like The L Word says, “What s [...]

    21. Lots of reviews, so won't go into details. Doubt this is a first novel for Ms. Kennedy (assuming pseudonym) and has been around online for a while. Angst at its best. Not the uncomplicated romance (!) but so worth the rollercoaster ride. If you liked An Infatuation by Jennifer Lyndon, you will love (love!) this. That said, the last 15% of the novel could have been better. The story took a predictable, necessary though tragic turn, and the plotting lost its way a bit. Still really great. Read it [...]

    22. OMG, the feeeeels. What an intense, sweet, and HOT story. A roller coaster of emotions, as many of the other reviews say. I absolutely love how the story grows between both women. Barely controllable attraction, melted with guilt and the realization that it might be something more than just physical Great chemistry, a love that feels real, a pain that feels real as well, and an original storyline I highly recommend it.

    23. God this is too fan-fictional (I should have expected this from the Acknowledgements). I did enjoy it at first, but then it got to where the main characters are so unrecognizable, so unlikable. No matter what adultery just seems wrong to me. I suppose I'm the traditional type after all.

    24. Great read! an intricate, bittersweet and well detailed love story of manyrget your morals and just embrace this book,it's well writtenhighly recommend

    25. At the beginning the book seemed a bit slow to me but after some time I found the story so engaging that I simply couldn't put my Kindle down. When I started without reading the blurb I was expecting a light erotic novel, what I wasn't expecting at all was that I found myself crying somewhere in the middle There are some terrible things happening in the book, so at times I wanted to stop reading but I simply couldn't because OMG, I wanted to feel more of that insane chemistry between Celeste and [...]

    26. I hated the idea of this book, at first I was kinda uncomfortable and to be honest every now and then I say "NO NO No" to anything happening between them however, at the end I was rooting for them tho I hated Celeste but the author made me love her with/for Amy. In conclusion I don't regret reading this. 3.43
