    1. I was so thrilled to have gotten a free review copy of this book because I loved the idea of a floating disembodied eyeball and its adventures. I read the entire book in one sitting. I just couldn't put it down. I don't want to give too much away, but the book went in directions I wasn't expecting and this is an unusual occurrence in books of this genre. (When I was a kid I used to get disappointed because the majority of the time I could guess the ending or at least part of it.) This is a book [...]

    2. First, I want to disclose that I received this book through a giveaway. Second, I want to disclose that I am a grown person and the ending of this book seriously spooked me! Evil Eye has all you could want in a middle-grade book- lots of action, humorous characters, and it's fair share of gross scenes any 7th grade boy is bound to enjoy. In addition, the book touched on bullying and reconciliation without minimizing the issue or seeming corny. As a teacher of middle school students, I'm excited [...]

In fact, with Jonathan’s propensity for wandering off on school trips their latest outing to the local cemetery is just another ‘good excuse’ for him to get his ‘curiosity’ on. The problem is, what they find there is more than just a few bruises and scrapes even more than a wedgie from the school bully – it’s enough to make your eyes pop out or at [...]

    4. The book is about what you'd expect with a flying eyeball on the cover. If you enjoyed Tales from the Cryptkeeper, Goosebumps, and Are you Afraid of the Dark? you should enjoy this story. [I won a copy from First reads Giveaways.]
