    1. Feeding Vegans World WideWhen my girl went vegan I had to find the quintessential protein, and it wasn’t going to be tofu. I found it in quinoa, a protein packed ancient grain that also provides those ever-important amino acids. However, finding a guide to cooking it was another matter. Finally, I have found The Quinoa Cookbook and couldn’t be more grateful to the author, John Chatman, for putting together over a hundred recipes from around the world. Now the vegan and the family can eat as [...]

    2. Excellent Reference CookbookAuthor has illustrated the versatility of quinoa with must make, simple to follow recipesny of which will be served more than once.

    3. 3.5 starsQuinoa is a hip little super grain (or really seed) that has been gaining more and more attention recently due to the fact that it is a complete protein grain, is high in fiber and is naturally gluten free. When it crossed my radar a few years ago I knew little about how to cook it or use it in my meals. Mostly I used it as a rice substitute when cooking Asian foods at home. This cookbook is a nice introduction to the many other ways quinoa can be used in your meals. The author has a few [...]

    4. Sold on the Cookbook and the Super Food!In my never ending search to incorporate healthy eating into my family’s diet, I eagerly purchased this book wanting to check out what all the hype was surrounding this new “super food”. I am so glad I did. The book starts out with a simple and easy to follow introduction on Quinoa, where it came from, its benefits and why it is so healthy for us. I learned just the right amount of information without going into too much depth. Quinoa is a gluten fre [...]

    5. I’ve been hearing about “superfoods” for a long time, and generally trying to live healthier. This is a great cookbook centered around quinoa sure to help me get there. John Chatham, also the author of the Paleo Diet Solution and others, is possessed of a captivating narrative flair in his health and diet writing. Quinoa itself is completely gluten free, and can be used in many kinds of preparations, but a fair number of recipes in this book contain bread flour, whole wheat, panko bread cr [...]

    6. The Quinoa Cookbook opened my eyes up to all the different possibilities that this super-food has to offer. The cookbook starts out with simple ways to cook the quinoa, explaining how to prepare it and when it is done, before delving into the recipes, which was a nice crash-course for a beginner like me. I learned that quinoa is a lot like rice, and like rice, it expands when it cooks. Just be sure to give it a quick rinse in cold water first.I made the Quinoa Fried Chicken Cutlets for dinner one [...]

    7. I have been trying to incorporate more quinoa into my diet, because of its nutritional value, but quickly grew bored eating the same quinoa based salads over and over again.I loved that this book provided such a wide variety of recipes, lots of international flavor, and complete meal ideas, including hot and cold side dishes, entrees, breakfast foods, and even desserts. I also feel better about indulging in comfort foods like bread and cookies using these recipes, which include the healthy addit [...]

    8. The Quinoa Cookbook by John Chatham is a great cookbook that the entire family can enjoy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The cookbook begins with an extensive history on Quinoa and how we came to find it in our grocery store today; Chatham seems to have a wonderful understanding of this particular grain and the great health benefits it can provide for the consumer. There is a superb section which categorizes the different types and preparations of Quinoa including an easy way to make your own [...]

    9. Quinoa is such an amazing food that, after learning about its qualities, you might want to include it in everything you eat, from breakfast to dinner, from main courses to desserts. If that’s something you want to try doing, you could use this cookbook as a guide, since there is a generous helping of super-healthy recipes for every course. Not every recipe is gluten-free, but even the few that have wheat flour have a reduced amount in them. If you’re like me and want to gradually replace les [...]

    10. The Quinoa Cookbook has a very good discussion of the history and benefits of quinoa, as well as a lot of tips for working with quinoa and some tantalizing recipes. I bookmarked a lot of them! Be advised, though, that although quinoa is a gluten-free food, many of the recipes in this book include ingredients that contain gluten, such as flour and/or Panko bread crumbs. If you are looking for a gluten-free recipe, just be sure to read the ingredients list carefully. The recipes range from breakfas [...]

    11. Whether you’re a culinary expert or a novice in the kitchen, John Chatham’s Quinoa Cookbook will take you on a mouthwatering journey with simple favorites such as quinoa granola to the unique delights of Quinoa Salad With Diced Apple and Vinaigrette and Quinoa Pilaf With Fennel and Basil. He even takes the healthful grain-like seed global with a range of Chinese and Japanese inspire dishes. This is a great collection for anyone who wants to add a taste of originality to their cookbook collec [...]

    12. Book does not include nutritional information, which always makes me re-think the value of a cookbook. Loses one star for no nutritional information.Lots of variety of recipes. Some recipes do require flour (not good for those gluten sensitive/ or with celiacs). Book includes details on the history of quinoa and multiple uses for quinoa (including how to make quinoa flour and uses for flour). Some recipes have fantastic pictures. Book includes recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, desserts. V [...]

    13. Useful, reader friendly information, and some interesting recipes on how to use quinoa in a variety of ways with different preparation methods. I found the information and recipes to be very informative and the sort of recipes I would be inclined to try.

    14. For those who believe in the power of the superseed, quinoa, this book is for you. There are a wide range recipes from the homestyle cooking we all know and appreciate to more exotic cuisine like Hungarian Quinoa and Kale Stew. Just replace the carb with quinoa!

    15. Great cookbook for learning about quinoa. There are many recipes from all over the world which will introduce this wonder grain. There is a history, nutritional breakdown, and ideas for substituting quinoa. The recipes span a large range of dishes.

    16. I'm giving this book three stars instead of four for a technical reason. Many of the 'vegetarian' dishes have chicken broth or prosciutto ham as an ingredient. I think the book is marred by this. I don't know if it is just sloppy work or no knowledge of vegetarianism.

    17. Loving this.I have never tried Quinoa till I got this book. Wow. Going to get cooking this weekend. I cannot wait. What will be first?

    18. The recipes are mostly those I would try to make. I have made two of them and have had to experiment a bit. But in general the book is useful.

    19. read on a kindle paperwhite. prefer a "real" book so i can view the pics plus maneuver through the different chapters more easily.
