    1. 3.5 Stars*****Spoilers if you haven’t read Undead*****Unfed sequel to Undead was an action packed ride! Zombies, gore, witty humor, and a little romance were laced through this fun read. We pick up six weeks from where Undead left us with Bobby and Smitty on another school bus, escaping zombies and Xanthro pursuers. Smitty was attacked and bitten, but he received the last antidote so no worries there. Unfortunately, the bus tumbles and everything fades to black for Bobby. She wakes up in a hos [...]

    2. Unfed is just as funny and entertaining as book one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The pace is quick and picks up throughout and kept me turning the pages. I was worried that Unfed might be too similar to book one, Undead, since this book once again sees Bobby running away from the zoms but Kirsty McKay managed to keep it fresh and different, there was a little more to what's going on in Unfed, so I didn't feel like I was just reading the same book again.I absolutely love Bobby's inner monologue a [...]

    3. Unfed is, like Undead, genuinely laugh-out-loud funny. I couldn’t read it at night because my guffaws woke my husband up. The kids in this series interact with each other like normal, bratty, sarcastic teenagers, but it’s saved from being just a series of hilarious sketches by the genuine heroism and selflessness of the characters as they risk their own lives to save each other time and time again. My full review is available at The Midnight Garden

    4. This review (and others) can be seen in all its properly formatted glory on my blog Beauty and the Bookshelf. After devouring--and surprisingly loving--Undead I immediately picked up the sequel. I was dying to know what happened next, especially after THAT ENDING. And I missed Smitty. (He really is the best.) So I began Unfed as soon as possible, and while I didn't love it as much as Undead and it went in a direction I super wasn't expecting, I still liked it!Kirsty McKay's Undead series is not y [...]

    5. Unfed is the sequel to the novel Undead. In this story, Bobby has survived her trip. But her best (totally not boy-) friend Smitty is missing. She wakes up in a quarantined Scotland, and is told that four survived, her mother not among them. But something doesn't add up. When she finds a clue, she gets new hope, and knows that she has got to find Smitty and fast. It becomes a race against time, the undead, and a few other nasties to solve this unraveling puzzle, and to save the living.----I have [...]

    6. This is Book II, but I jumped right in and was off and running on a wild adventure with Bobby and her gang. This young adult zombie novel is a bit different from the norm. It is funny and snarky in a sick way and I had a great time reading it.Zombie hordes and teenage heroes run AMOK in quarantined Scotland. How did the zombies come to be? Why are they so different from a normal zombie? (Is there such a thing?) They seem to be able to think and figure things out for themselves, albeit slowly.I lo [...]

    7. they're back and this time they're hungry. the sequel to undead and i took my time reading this book because i wanted to save every moment because i know there hasn't be any announcement of a third book. this series has been utterly good, action packed and hilariously funny to read that once i pick up the book i just cant stop reading it. this book picks up with bobby waking up in a hospital the always cliche thing that happens in any zombie movie or book. Bobby is joined by the returning charac [...]

    9. 3.5 stars. it was funny and kept me reading until the late hours of the morning, however slightly predictable in places and too many convenient exits.

    11. Characters: This time round, Bobby is smarter and funnier. Seeing the 'apocalypse' through her eyes is entertaining because she is realistic but still able to see the farcical side of things like zombie cows. The others are all the same as ever, their character voices are very individual throughout. The relationships between the gang seem to be getting stronger (particularly between Bobby and Smitty, who she just couldn't stop dreaming about, much to my annoyance). There is a new member of the g [...]

    12. Unfed is the sequel to Undead and is set six weeks later. Bobby wakes up in a hospital room to find that her mother is dead. Then another zombie attack occurs and she manages to escape. Bobby is determined to find Smitty using the clues left for her.I picked up Undead last year when I received Unfed for review and I was so glad I did. The first book was a hilarious romp through Scotland featuring a gang of teens and lots of zombies. The sequel was just as good; there were plenty of laughs as wel [...]

    13. I'd like to keep this review simple and to the point. I recieved this from the publisher for an honest review and I have never read the first book in this, what I hope is a series, and not once did I feel as though I absolutely needed to while reading this! I was able to understand what had happened and what was now taking place because of the previous book, without having read it. The author, Kirsty McKay did this wonderfully without an actual information dumping taking place. Here and there sh [...]

    14. First I have to say thanks to and Netgalley for allowing me to read an e-galley of this book. I got the first book in the series last summer when I went to BEA, so was very excited to see this become available on Netgalley. I wasn't disappointed, I liked where the story went. A really good story, I enjoyed all the ups and downs, and the little obstacles they had to face, like the fact that Bobby had no pants for the first part of the book, because the ones she'd been wearing on the bus before i [...]

    15. 3.5-stars- The first in this series was unexpectedly good. I loved our intrepid heroine's dry and sarcastic sense of humor and luckily it's in the follow-up in spades. Unfortunately I felt like this book was nonstop action and I do like more interaction between my characters, even when they are running for their lives from zombies. I will be reading the next in this series, but I wish there had been a little bit more development in the overall storyline and the characters, especially in regard t [...]

    16. This book is the sequel to Kirsty Mckay's Undead. Just like undead this was quite the story ,and I feel like it needs at least one more book. This story is too good to be over. I need more. This book pulls you into a world of survival, and zombies. You won't want to put this one down, because of all of the excitement. (view spoiler)[ The infection has spread, and they are stuck in a hospital full of zombies. GOAL! Escape that hospital, and find a way to cure the infection. (hide spoiler)]

    17. Another fun book. I definitely missed Smitty & I'm a girl who likes romance so I was asking for more kissing despite the fact they were, you know, busy with zoms & such. I tried to find out of there's another book, but there's no info on her website as of yet. I'll definitely read whatever Mrs. McKay writes though :)

    18. Listened to on CD. Absolutely loved the first novel and this one is as good or maybe even better. The story takes a turn I wasn't expecting and really delivers. I would love to see this made into a series or movie. Highly recommend. You can read this as a stand alone but you will miss out if you don't read the first one.

    19. Just like Unded, excellent read. Would love to know if there's a third one being written. Again i would definatley recommend this book! lots of seat clutching moments which just made me want to read it even more.

    20. 3.5 stars. Another wildly entertaining installment from horror-comedy writer Kirsty McKay. It was just as good as the first. Good news is there is going to be a third book!

    21. Two-second recap: The sequel to Kirsty McKay's hit 2011 book Undead is as sarcastically funny, brilliant and intelligent as its predecessor. As Bobby and her friends try to make their way out of a situation they never expected, they take on hoards of zombies who are even more deadly and terrifying than before. ***Full review: The first time I was introduced to Kirsty McKay's work, was when I was away at graduate school in London. I had a friend rave to me about her critique partner, whose debut [...]

    23. This book has its twists and turns, which makes the story fun to read. Other good things about this novel are the characters and the story. The characters are very well-developed. In the beginning of the story the author uses flashbacks, the characters' thoughts and feelings, as well as the interaction between characters to show you who they are. By the end of the story you want them to survive and root for that ending. The characters are very tough, not just physically but mentally. These kids [...]

    24. This review originally published in Looking For a Good Book. Rated 2.75 of 5I recently went through my back-log of un-read ARCs with the intention of catching up on my reading and one of the older books in my ARC queue is this Unfed, by Kirsty McKay.I like zombie fiction and I like a lot of YA fiction, so I thought this would be a fun read. I knew it was a sequel, but I was willing to give it a read anyway. I quickly forgot that it was a sequelere wasn't too much that I felt I was missing and t [...]

    25. WARNING, before reading this review, make sure you have read Undead first! Okay, moving on. Bobby is a girl who survives a bus crash, trying to get away from an infection that turns people into zombies. Now she has to find her best friend, who may have also survived the crash, while avoiding zombies and a organization wanting to test on her for the infection. In the end, she eventually finds him and, uh oh! Plot twist! (I won't tell, of course) Personally, I really liked the book. It had a great [...]

Da hätte man doch besser Unfed übersetzt! Diese ständigen Beititel werde ich bei deutschen Bücher nie verstehen xDMeinun [...]

    27. This book was such a fantastic sequel! I enjoyed it so much, so great, and yeah, lots of action and romance! Just so great, and I wish we could've had more of this series, but it ends on a pretty good note!
