    1. Carolyn Fyffe leaves the wilds of Montana for small-town Texas in the second book of the McCutcheon family series. We find brother John Jake McCutcheon on his way to practice medicine in Rio Wells, Texas following his graduation from medical school. His plans to return to Montana have been derailed by the presence of two other full-time positions already there. So he's accepted the job in Texas were at least he will be close to an uncle and his family.En route to Rio Wells he shares the stage wi [...]

    2. Review for Texas Twilight by Caroline FyffeReviewer- Lindsay DownsWith the first three, repeat THREE, words Caroline takes us on one of the most fabulous rides I’ve ever read. And the action doesn’t stop at the period either but continues to build throughout the book. This historical western is set in 1886 in the Texas Badlands and when I finished reading the last page I knew Caroline was right; these were the Badlands.John Jake McCutcheon has finished medical school and heads for Texas. He [...]

    3. I woke up this morning with tired, sore eyes but it was worth it! I started reading Texas Twilight after work yesterday and finished it at 2.10am! I couldn't put it down! I raced through the book, a woman obsessed - I thoroughly enjoyed John & Lily's story. I plan to sit down today and reread it at a more leisurely pace.

    4. This was another amazing book from Caroline Fyffe. I fell in love with the characters from the first page, I felt like I was there w/them in Texas! I cried, laughed, and was scared at some parts. This was fantastically written and I hope their is a 3rd book in the McCutcheon series! I feel like I really know all the characters, like I am a part of the family! :)

    5. Very much enjoyed this western, with some mystery and suspense. Very well developed characters, and no boring spots at all. Kept me fully engaged and was very hard to put down to get some sleep.Nice clean read with only a couple scattered mild curses.

    6. I was captivated within the first pages!! I stayed up until about 12:30 a.m. last night, because I just couldn't put the book down. When I got to the part where one of the heroines was safe, I finally went to bed. Got up this morning to finish it because then it was just icing on the cake. Good character building. Very talented author. I wish there was another book in the McCutchen series!!

    7. The anachronisms are killing me, both in dialogue and historical fact. The story was unnecessarily complicated. The preview of book 3 in the series introduces Charolais cattle to the U.S when they did not arrive at all until 1934. That's lousy research or even simple fact checking. Done with this series.

    8. Another clean Texas story. Fyffe's writing flows with a good balance between detail and action. A bit unusual to have so many main characters though.

    9. A touching cowboy romance. I loved the chemistry between John and Lily and Charity and Brandon. Looking forward to others in the series.

    10. Very complex storyline, multiple threads to follow as well as excellent "It takes a village" ensemble. Themes included romance, murder, cheats and a theft.rating 3.75

    11. 3.5 stars. I enjoyed this Western romance -- it's been awhile since I've read anything in that genre. A few parts felt a bit over-the-top, but it was a fun read!

    12. Sweet loveThis is a great love story full of adventure from the very beginning to the very end. The adventure is set in the wild wild west with good overcoming evil

    13. Abandoned at 8%There's something about the writing, the dialogue. Very unreal and wooden to my ears, mind. Sorry no chemistry.

    14. The McCutcheon family saga moves to Texas. When McCutcheon brother John finishes his medical traini g, he heads to Texas instead of Montana. Little does he know what fate has in store, as he meets and fights off an attack with a beautiful German girl. Meeting the Texas branch of his family and thinking life in this little Texas town will be peaceful, John is in for the surprise and adventure of his life.

    15. Very enjoyable book. More of the Mc Cutcheon family as another member John , who is now a doctor moves to another Texas town to set up a practice. A stagecoach attack leaves 3 people dead and another passenger, Lily Anthony, fighting off the outlaws with him. When they reach their destination Lily finds that John is engaged and his intended is to join him. A lovely story told with care and attention to all that weaves the town together.

    16. Loads of Drama Action and a Good StorylineI love series stories and have been reading the Sweetwater Springs series from another author. The two authors however collaborated and have shared characters which intrigued me. This author's style adds much more drama and less of the day to day work that truly makes life in the late 1800s difficult. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading all books in both series!

    17. A school teacher, doctor, a niece and her aunt; encounter a stagecoach robbery.Their lives are forever changed. A stolen jewel brings more danger and mystery to the town; besides a runaway sister. Excitement all around.

    18. From the edge of your seat to sweet romance, well written and captivating.Love this author! Each character has a story to tell. Expertly woven into a wonderful, exciting and suspense filled book.

    19. Another clean western romance in the series. This was a pretty good one as well. It was a somewhat complex story line with several characters, but it was easy to keep them straight. I wasn't sold that Lily was a recent immigrant, as her "voice" sounded like all the other characters.

    20. Sweet, simple and clean story. No unnecessary drama and angst. No TSTL moment and I read it without stalling. I liked how the H/h communicates with each other, not hiding what their thinking or their worry. Meaning no hair pulling moments for me. Hahaha

    21. Texas Twilight Another great story in this series of the McCutcheon family. This is a romance with lots of drama and suspense.

    22. Loved it;Caroline Fyffe is a wonderful story teller. I like how the adventure keeps moving. The book can also be a stand all novel.

    23. You never can tellI love Caroline Fyffe books. She can't write fast enough for me. I already am reading this series of books for the second time and loving them again.

    24. IntriguingOne story intertwined with the next and kept me from wanting to put the book down. The plot moved quickly jumping from one exciting situation to the next.

    25. Once again Caroline Fyffe has given readers a touching and romantic, as well as mysterious and dangerous, historical western read. Her writing has a soft lilt, even for the often harsh old west, that snags your attention every time. Characters both strong and caring delve deep into your soul, making you pray that everything turns out the way it should be for them. After retrieving her rights from Dorchester, after all the drama that took place there, I’m so glad Ms. Fyffe went the distance and [...]
