To my mild surprise, I really liked this mystery set in modern India and linked to a massive environmental disaster - or what would be massive in any other context but in India is just another in a long list of horrible tragedies involving incomprehensible numbers of people dying.This is the most recent in a series and now I will have to back & read the first ones. Very well written, well paced and never dull. Although I think George could have taken 2 minutes to phone Annie at some point, s [...]


    3. It was culturally interesting. The crime was horrific and intriguing. But it often left the realm of the mystery and focused on aspects of characterization that did not seem to serve the plot. I would read another of his books, but I won't run out right now to find them all.


    4. "Another story set in India featuring the character George Sansi. Again very enjoyable because of the extreme strangeness of the country."


    5. The third (and so far, last -- alas!) of the George Sansi mysteries set in India. This one is the most greusome of all, but well-worth the read. Good summer books.
