I ve been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head There s no other job I would rather be doing In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia I m back in New Zealand now, but I m always plotting new trips If you d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page updated every month. So far, I ve worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer s mill.

    1. 3.5This book was just slightly better than okay for me. I didn't really care for Clay or Talin. So their relationship was just ok for me. I did enjoy the plot and everything else it was just the couple that was meh.

    2. Full review finally posted on 11/3/135…FantasticStars!!! I was shocked at how much I LOVED this somewhat heartbreaking, humorous, endearing, and amazingly heartwarming story. This book's focus was about the main couple's complicated and enduring relationship rather than the world-building aspect of the over all story arc. I won't lie, I struggled at first with the heroine and what seemed to be her weak behavior; however, once I realized why she reacted the way she did, I ended up her biggest c [...]

    3. August 2016 re-read: Over the years since I've first read this book I've had many feelings about it. Some good, some well, not so good. For a long time this was my least favorite book - and I don't think it'll ever be one of my favorites. It's too uneasy, and hits an incredibly uncomfortable spot for me. But I have reached a new understanding with this book, and the characters that take the spotlight in it.My biggest problem was always Talin. She had an incredibly hard childhood, filled with a [...]

    4. *** 4 ***A buddy read with my family at BB&B!This is the fourth book in the series and I keep enjoying as much as when I started!!! It is a PNR with a new couple finding love in each book. The best part of the series, at least to me, is the amazing world building and the specifics which make up the differences between the three main races - the Psy, the Changelings (or animal shifters), and humans. In all the previous books we got to meet Psy and Changeling characters, letting us into the wo [...]

    5. This installment of Singh's Psy-Changeling series was different in that neither of the two leads was a psy. I have to admit, I prefer that. The psy storyline always seems the same to me. We have to go through the whole 'awakening' thing and it always seems to present the same way. So this was a refreshing change and I liked the plot and story better. However, the writing itself was weaker than the others. Singh reused several phrases to the point were I actually laughed a couple of times. "His le [...]

    6. When I read the blurb before starting this book I was absolutely ecstatic. I was about to learn everything there is to learn about Clay, the guy that's intrigued me since book one. When I opened it and started reading I couldn't wait to get to the "good stuff".Then after a few pages, my enthusiasm completely blanked out.Not because of Clay, of course, he's wonderful (as all changeling men are), though a bit too much on the wild side sometimes, and he could've pulled back on the whole "let's blame [...]

    7. Napa Valley, California[image error]★★★★☆ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Sometimes I think listeners of audiobooks have a distinct advantage over readers of hardcopy. If they are well narrated and well directed, as this one is, they can bring to life what the author intended, as tone, inflection, and reaction between characters and how they dialogue is so vital. Such is the case in the fourth installment of Ms. Singh’s Psy-changeling series, which is read by Angela Dawe. She do [...]

    8. I have no idea why it took me this long to discover this series! I am such an idiot to have not found this sooner! Singh’s Psy-Changeling gets better and better with each book and I am seriously at a loss for words!First off, Talin is my FAVOURITE HEROINE IN THE SERIES! I absolutely adore her! She’s a human, but she has as much bite as the other Psy girls and Brenna. Her past is a dark one and it has haunted her to this day. I will admit, I did tear up as I read some of the things that happe [...]

    9. What an amazing book, as usual. I'm not really surprised anymore. This series turned out to be a great surprise for me. Mine to Possess was an awesome book. I wasn't expecting to love Clay's book that much to be honest, but I did, I loved it. Clay is a complex character and still a mystery when we start reading his book, that's why I wasn't sure about him at first. But reading his story, his past, his feelings, seeing his love and loyalty for his pack and for Talin it did it for me. Incredible b [...]

    10. 5 stars – Paranormal RomanceThis is yet another terrific read and a beautiful romance in the intriguing Psy-Changeling universe and my second favorite of the series so far. I wondered if/how Singh could possibly top Caressed by Ice, and while that’s still my favorite, this one isn’t that far behind and the series just keeps getting better and better. The writing is superb, the characters are fascinating, well developed, and rich, the world building is captivating, and the romance is emotio [...]

    11. The background plot was the only thing that saved this book. I had no patience for the heroine despite the fact that the author attempts to give her a background that will not only explain the character's actions and the way she treats others, but also tries to paint her in a sympathetic light. For me, it failed completely. Psychologically, I can understand the attempt by the author to choose to make Talin, the heroine, act the way she does because of her past. And by act the way she does, I mea [...]

    12. On the one hand, I like the world that is building in these books. It is extremely intriguing and different. On the other hand, I didn't particularly like the female love interest in this book - Tally. She was a victim of childhood abuse, and that was portrayed really well, but she continued to live in that victim mentality with regular woe-is-me pity parties. Considering she got away from her abuser at 8, and she was 28, with a lot of counseling and loving foster parents in the last 20 years, sh [...]

    13. I never thought I would be saying this but this is definitely a series that REQUIRES a RE-READ! I'm so happy I read this book again, things are so different for me now. First time I rated it with 4 stars, but this time that I was aware how things would be and I already knew the new characters introduced in it, I was able to understand everything better. I realized this is a far more complex series that I thought it was and that without a re-read you are not really able to fully comprehend it. Ev [...]

    14. Can we all talk about this cover for a moment? Let's look at it together shall we?There it isunapologetically shoving it's fabulousness in your face. Leopard spotted male dashing through fire? Oh and this font, YES THIS FONT. I'm an absolute judge a book by it's cover person, and this magnificent piece of art screams LITE ME ON FIRE I AM TERRIBLE. I don't have anything good to say about this book, it was my least favorite thus far in the series. First of all the male lead's name is Clay and real [...]

    15. A very good addition to the Psy/Changeling series, Mine to Possess was a great read that just underlined this series as one of the best in my "read" listClay and Tally knew each other since they were kids, and their bond was created through friendship, and later through Clay's act of protectiveness, him killing her foster father and saving her from further abuse and eventually death by the sick idiot.Tally witnessed the murder and was mentally scarred by it, and eventually became terrified by Cl [...]

    16. 4 Claylicious Stars! Such an amazing series!I don't even know where to begin. Clay and Talin were destined to be together. What they both had to face and overcome, horrifying, and I was thrilled that they found their way back to each other. The kidnapping and killing of the kids, very disturbing, but not surprising as to what lengths the Psy will go get what they want. Well, their world is starting to crumble and I can't wait until it all comes crashing down around them!

    17. Another great book in the Psy-Changeling series, tied with Caressed by Ice for the best book in the series, in my mind. This book really focused on the deep relationship between Clay and Talin, who sort of grew up on the streets together. We learn so much about these two. Their histories are very well developed and the relationship between them so well done that I almost think the author had to have some experience with the kind of relationship that builds from childhood and on-- or else, she ju [...]

    18. "You are the most beautiful thing I've ever dared to touch."Proving yet again that my mood has a lot to do with my enjoyment of books I'm bumping this one up to 5 stars again. The issues I had with it on my last read are still there but I fell in love with these two all over again and really, really enjoyed this read. Currently having one of those "Books are just so amazing!" moments._________________________________________2nd read - 3 March to 5 March 20133rd read - 21 April to 23 April 2014 - [...]

    19. I can't believe I'm reading #4 now. I read #1 back in October 2013. Despite my slow pace, I still have the urge to finish the series no matter how long it takes. Whenever I picked up a Psy-Changeling book, I knew what I will get.Changeling will be passionate and possessivePsy will be stoic, cold and unfeeling. We are always waiting for them to thaw.Human will make thing interesting because they are more unpredictable. In Mine to Possess, we have a Changeling hero, Clay, and a human heroine, Talin [...]

    20. 2-2.5 starsAlright, first things first. I'll be continuing the series; mostly because I already bought the books (all of them - grumble) and because I'm getting more and more interested in the world building (yay!). The romance, howeverNope, sorry, not buying it. Apart from the whole mating-concept not working for me, I found the heroine of Mine to Possess particularly irritating. I'm not being funny, but when a person is all 'oh my God, I'm not worthy of him and I'm afraid of his violent nature [...]

    21. Also reviewed at: Lady Jayne's Reading Den3.5 of 5 StarsI haven't reviewed book 3, Caressed by Ice, yet, but I wanted to get this one out of my system. Hmmunds bad, doesn't it?WellI have mixed thoughts/feelings about this 4th installment of the Psy/Changeling series. I’m sad that I didn’t love this one as much as I loved the first 3 books.Clay Bennett, a sentinel of the DarkRiver leopard pack, grew up in the slums of the human world. He never knew his changeling father and his human Egyptian [...]

    23. Again this book was great. Not mind-blowing but well above average good.Clay is nice but he wasn't irresistible to me. He felt like someone I would want for an older brother, not someone I would be attracted to. Maybe it was because he knew the heroine from such a young age and the connection began as "best friends" and escalated to mates.Tally is a very strong person BUT her lapses to self-pity kind of lost her points with me. That and the fact that she hurts Clay by being afraid of him when al [...]

    24. 4 solid starsThis one seems to be a hit or miss for most so I was apprehensive when starting. Well, it worked for me. I can see the frustration with Talin but I looked past it. I thought the story and build was set up very nicely. I constantly picked this book back up and wanted to see what happened next. I liked the interactions between Clay and Talin. Their bossy/bratty talk was fun and different. Overall, a very good addition to this series.

    25. I read this book years ago, but after just re-reading it for probably the 10th time I realized I had never reviewed it. This is one of my favorites in a series of favorites. I LOVE Clay and I loved Tally, and their connection is outstanding. I love that they have been connected since childhood and how that plays out into their adulthood. I can't gush enough about this book and series.

    27. “We’re stuck, me and you. It was never going to be anyone else for either of us.”I’m not a fan of second chance romances but once again Nalini Singh has shown why she’s my favorite author! “What happened to you, Tally?”The laughter seeped out of the air. “I broke.”Twenty years ago Clay Bennett and Talin McKade were best friends, growing up poor and neglected, developing a fierce bond they thought would last forever, until one fateful event, one act of violence made Clay kill a [...]

    28. *3.5 stars!*I admit I had a hard time connecting with Talin at first (maybe because I am running a fever while reading) but I warmed up to her in the end. In this book, we are introduced to The Forgotten. They are Psy who did not go through the silence and disconnected with the Psynet. Some of these Psy are mated with humans and changelings. Their children are being treated like lab rats and this is when Talin asked help from Clay. This series is getting better and better with each installment. W [...]
