Gitty Daneshvari was born in Los Angeles to an Iranian father and an American mother As a child she talked incessantly, feeling the need to comment on everything around her While at first charmed by her verbose nature, her family soon tired of the constant commenting This is how she found writing it was better than talking since she didn t even need anyone else to do it with. She currently lives in New York City and yes she still talks too much.

    1. I loved this book but it was a bit slow. But still a good book. I love this book and really Learned a lot about them. I Think the reporter was just to willing. In this story they have to face there fears and save the school, There beloved crazy teacher Mrs. Wellington, her stepson Abernathy they hate each other and S [...]

    2. Madeleine, Garrison, Lulu, and Theo are back for their third summer at School of Fear. They made lots of progress during their previous visits, but, as much as they hate to admit it, they each have some more work to do in conquering their phobias. Problem is, things aren't looking good for the School of Fear. A nosy reporter is planning an expose on Mrs. Wellington that will ruin her reputation and the school's, possibly even causing the school to be shut down. If that happens, not only will Mrs [...]

    3. This is the final book in a great series for upper elementary school. It picks up where the 2nd book leaves off with the 5 students trying desperately to save their school from a nosy reporter looking for a big story."Is school out forever at the School of Fear? A nosy reporter is planning a scandalous expose on eccentric Mrs. Wellington and her unorthodox teaching methods, and the news is sure to put an end to the school. Madeleine, Theo, Lulu, Garrison, and the new student Hyacinth must convin [...]

    4. So it starts where we left off:One of the School of Fear's students, Hyasinth, who has a fear of being alone, just told a reporter that The School of Fear exists. Nobody was supposed to know that. Hyhy, as she likes to be called of course knew this, but her fear of being alone stepped in for her. She can apparently speak to her "bestie" Celery the ferret. Maddie, Garrison, Theo and Lulu are VERY angry at Hyhy. Now they have to think of a way to stop the reporter from thinking that the School of [...]

    5. This is the final book in the School of Fear trilogy. It the story starts of right where the second book ended. All of the main characters are back along with another hilarious group of boys from another school.

    6. All of the characters are incredibly immature and act in ways (most) people don't act, making the book unrealistic, and there's tremendous amounts of unnecessary dialogue throughout the book. I would not recommend this for anyone above 10 years of age.

    7. The School of Fear, Final Exam is an all-around fun book which can be enjoyed by all. The basic storyline of the book is that the students of the School of Fear which include Madeleine, Lulu, Hyhy, and Garrison. These four students are back for their third year at the School of Fear to finally overcome their fears. The different fears of the characters are Madeleine who has a fear of bugs, Lulu who is claustrophobic, Hyhy who is afraid of being alone and garrison who has a fear of water and yet [...]

    8. In the novel Basmati was threatening to end the relationship between Abernathy and Wellington and slyvie got into the mansion and everything seamed like it was all over when Abernathy changed his mind about his step mother and forgives her. The lied about being in the forest for years so slyvie story couldn't air and her little friend was toothpaste the talking conary and then all students of school of fear graduated and would come back next summer as councelers. The conflict was character vs. se [...]

    9. Is school out forever at the School of Fear? A nosy reporter is planning a scandalous expose on eccentric Mrs. Wellington and her unorthodox teaching methods, and the news is sure to put an end to the school. Madeleine, Theo, Lulu, Garrison, and the new student Hyacinth must convince Sylvie that their teacher and the school are perfectly normal. But how can they accomplish this when Mrs. Wellington is just so odd? With the fate of their beloved school in their hands, the children now share a new [...]

    10. The final book of the School of Fear trilogy breaks the pattern of series of books about weird and whimsical schools, by continuing from where the second book ended without breaking until next year. School of Fear's four, I mean five, "contestants in the pageant of life," as the eccentric Mrs. Wellington calls them, have succeeded in luring Abernathy, the wild man of the forest who was once the student Mrs. Wellington couldn't help, back to the school for another try. But overcoming his novercap [...]

    11. The Bad: I had a lot of complaints about this book. There was a lot of fat-shaming worked in everywhere. Theo's character falls apart halfway through and goes back to normal. Weird jumps and shifts in the narrative occur: Theo is speaking to Schmidty about his girdle and the next sentence is lamenting the fate of the school; Madeline can reach out and touch Garrison in one scene, but as he faints, he manages to land a football field away as Maddie has to run to reach his side; the characters all [...]

    14. Everyone’s Afraid of Something… School of Fear:The Final Exam is the action packed finale of the School of Fear Series. The students learn that Hyacinth told a nosy reporter about the school, everything goes crazy. The reporter follows them everyone trying to get a good story about Abernathy, Mrs. Wellington’s one failure. For the first time, the children travel outside of the school and to the Contrary Conservatory to see if they can help Abernathy before it is too late. I really enjoyed [...]

    16. This series was fantastic! It was full of fun and witty characters with good plot and hilarious humor. These books gave me a Willy Wonka vibe with its lunacy. I thought this book was a great farewell to the series but an epilogue is much appreciated. I wish I could read another book like this with such great characters. I think a lot of people would like this book, but PLEASE read the rest of the series first, what kind of monster reads the last book first? I bet there are some but please read t [...]

    17. The story continues right after the end of book two, with the pig-like reporter, Sylvie (the pig is obviously a metaphor for tabloid reporters) trying to come up with stuff for an article to close the School of Fear. Mrs. Wellington and the five students have gone to meet a guy that might be able to help Abernathy overcome his hatred of Mrs. Wellington and block Sylvie from doing her article. My absolute favorite quote from the whole book is this one:'I think you should remind your ferret that T [...]

    18. This book was the perfect ending to this series. From the the kooky characters to the crazy plot, this book is a delight for anyone to read. The theme of this book is, not to be cheesy, but fear. Seriously, this theme has a huge role. In the basement of the Contrarium (yes, I know it's not a word!), four of the , er, contestants, must face their fears once and for all. Hyacinth also faces her fear, but she has Celery with her, so I'm not quite counting it. Anyways, because Mrs. Wellington has wo [...]

    19. School of Fear is very interesting. The author has a very good writing skill. She makes to book very interesting. My favorite character is Lulu because she is a very strong leader. My favorite part of this book is when Abernathy cuts Mrs. Wellington's wig. I love how the author writes about their anger. I also think that if I was Mrs. Wellington I would stop being so angry at Abernathy and start acting a little more like an adult. A question I have for Abernathy is what is your promise to "her"? [...]

    20. It was hard for me to get into this book, because the writing style reminds me of A Series of Unfortunate Events. It tends toward the silly; fortunately, events are nowhere near as dire as the ones in Daniel Handler's books. The protagonists are children who attend a special school which is supposed to help them overcome phobias. Their nemesis is a newspaper reporter, who is apparently a talking pig, and who is preparing an expose of the school and of the students' innermost secrets. Despite the [...]

    21. I love this book. I think these three books are alternatives stories for current vampires/creatures/werewolves genre. Well, don't expect adrenaline rush adventures or kicking ass actions, these foursome kids were just AWESOME! The author was very witty in creating each unique characters and just stayed hillarious effortlessly until the end. I couldn't help but laugh on how these kids communicate. I tell you they may be kids but they are smart kids. I'll recommend these books for my kids or anyon [...]

    22. A rounding-out finish to the School of Fear stories, where the eccentric 'contestants' band together to bring Mrs. Wellington and her stepson Abernathy to a peace in order to avoid the scandal threatened by piggish tabloid reporter Silvia. Notable for the presence of the ultra-contradicting Bishop Bismati and his wild wardrobe and the three daredevil-but-none-too-bright Contrarians enrolled at Basmati's training school. ("I never imagined having too much fun, so much fun you couldn't have fun an [...]

    23. I loved the final book of School of Fear. I loved how they worked together to save the school and get over their fears. I loved how they put the meaning of a fear before each chapter. I recommend this book to young readers. I loved how this book was very humorous. I loved how the students graduated and were able to go next year and be counselors. I also thought it was great how Abernathy forgave Mrs. Wellington.
