    1. This book by Sandy Asirvatham is a very good book. It talks about the trials held in 1692 in the colonial Massachusetts village of Salem. Multiple people claimed to be cursed by witches and would slip into trances, scream, and babble incoherently. Since there was no medical explanation, the Puritan community turned a supernatural one and that was witches. During this time people were “put on trial” to test to see if they were actually witches.     2. I was excited to read a book on The Salem Witch Trials, but disappointed in this particular book. I did not like the author's writing style. There were a couple of chapters that were like reading a newspaper. There would be an article inserted in the middle of the context followed by the statementntinued on page #. That was annoying.I don't really feel the author focused on the actual topic of the book. Maybe other topics were thrown in to make the book longer, but definitely not interesting. Ev [...]
